Ok... From a different perspective I think you look at least 15 years older than me (not saying I look great for my age either)... is it possible your friends are being nice? That's kinda what friends do. If not I suggest getting better pictures taken... Telling the truth about your age and not fibbing but maybe commenting in your profile that you look younger.

Just as a thought - is it not better to be honest, and have people pleasantly surprised, than to lie?

I get told I don't look my age all the time (I still get id'd for booze in the supermarket) and I'd far rather have the surprise of saying to them I'm actually 36 than trying to lie about it!

Admitting to swinging in the outside world is very different to lying outright about your age. Ahd for what its worth, most of my close friends know I am in a pretty open relationship, and see more than one person at a time, and I'm fairly openly bi.

If you lie about your age, what else in your profile do you lie about. Personally I believe people should give their correct age. BTW I would suggest that you look 53 but that's only my opinion.

Well not me but I would suspect there are a good 20% who claim 40's but are older. We can all speculate what from vanity to being able to message people who block over 50s. But as long as the site allows people to change age when people like it will keep happening.

I'm 53 next month, I don't look my age, but even if I did, so what?!! I'm not going to knock years of my profile for a shag. My preferred age range is 50-60. Unfortunately there aren't a lot of 50+ men on site (sniggers). One man I met who was 57 to my 48 is now 49 to my 52!

I'm 40 as my profile says, however I did put my birthday as a couple of weeks earlier so I was 40 on the site before I actually was, but I think that's okay for Internet security reasons.

Lieing about your age is one of my pet hates in here, if you're 21, 40 or 53 be honest. I will say you seem very hung up on people that won't meet you due to your age or have filters set. Just enjoy the site and stop obsessing about the people that won't meet you and concentrate on the ones that will.

Personally I like to play with people around my own age or younger, older men just don't appeal and why I have my filters set.

I am 54 and got 54 on the profile. It does appear many do put a cut off age of 50 for meets on their profile, so can understand, to a degree, some lying. But as they 'Your lies always get found out', so here I am being an honest swinger looking for some who's equally honest and after naughty fun

Apparently over 55 you cant be having sex anymore.

Great post. Seen a film recently and this woman was lying about her age. The doctor was examining here below and the nurse came in and questioned here again and there was nearly a row when the doctor looked over the sheet and said judging by the rings below he said she was 50.

I've also actually been 40 n 30 n 20 in my time!

Each era had it's good n bad points n altho up til 50 u can maintain the body bootiful, body parts after that tend to drift in other directions .

As a plus I don't feel I need to try so hard to impress! I read profiles of some (not all) younger guys n u pick up on a sense of desperation to meet anybody, absolutely anybody, just as long as they can get a shag!!

Don't know why - you look great for your age. If you're having a lack of success it may be down to other factors (not being able to accommodate for example - some people don't like that)
