To block or not to block

I have never blocked anyone until recently. I used to reply to every message I received, but now I find myself deleting messages and blocking fabsters because I just cannot be bothered with the boring chit chat.

Have I become hard? I'm a mild mannered, tolerant person....usually lol.

I suppose it's the endless pics of mens cocks and the generic messages of, hi, I'd like to fook you, swap pics, looking for NSA, blah blah blah....that's pushed my hand.

Trouble is though, once I've blocked someone I feel guilty for doing so.

Does anyone else feel this way, or is it just me?

lol I used to feel like that when I joined Fab a few profiles ago but you learn as you go along.

You haven't become hard, you've just realised there are better ways to spend your time , or that's what I did anyway.

I don't hesitate to block now I'm afraid. If I've said no and they keep mailing with pointless meaningless chit chat, i block!

It's your profile, you do as you see fit and if you want to block, go ahead but don't feel guilty about it. ENjoy!

Some people unfortunately just can't take hints and don't understand that you need to actually get to know someone at least a little bit before you ask to jump into bed with them.

We don't block anyone either, but there are a couple of people who just won't stop messaging us and I'm considering making an exception.

No guilt here

In fact my most common form of blocking is of "single" guys when I discover they're in relationships. They normally get a "Can't you read?"/"Learn to read" terse message , followed by an immediate block

Hi, I totally agree with you, sometimes you just have to block, I rarely do it but when enough is enough i block and i do feel guilty, I would never say Im just not interested in you, i think thats a bit rude but what do you do when someone messages you all the time and eventhough you like chatting with them you know you prob wont meet them, should you say so or what?

I never feel guilty for blocking.

If I'm not interested I block to stop them messaging over and over - simples x

(J) You might actually be able to help me in answering a question I had along those lines, if you don't mind my asking: I'm in an open relationship, but I also do individual meets. I've never quite been sure whether I count as a single guy or not. I'm assuming it's safe to operate on the understanding that no one who says "no guys in relationships" will want a message from me?

The block button is just another filter - albeit a permanent one!

No need for guilt - if deserved for whatever reason just hit the button without a second thought!

As a single guy I don't suffer from the hordes of unsolicited cock images the way women and couples evidently do (though there are occasions when a willy has managed to sneak in!).

However, I tend to use the block feature when it's very clear that I'm not what the profile owner is looking for, or they're not what I seek. (I.e. bbc's only, no Asians, 6' tall+, no cocks bigger than 8.5" etc..)

That way, we'll no longer appear on each others searches, time is saved so the perving process becomes a little more effective

I cannot speak for others. What I will say is that to me single means alone: NOT married, NOT got a partner, NOT got a girlfriend, NOT in an open or cheating relationship. I have had men state they are single and down the line they declare something about their girlfriend .

I am sure some members accept men in open relationships, hey some may accept cheats - each to their own. You need to ask. "They" don't need to answer though

I use the block button and always feel guilty for using it. Like some of the people on here have already said. Some folks just won't take no for an answer I have had one or two get nasty because I won't meet them.

Each to their own but sad as it is I do use it.
