we have had the usual time wasters on here but wondered if the excuses we get are really true or not

most involve a car accident of some kind, we have had crashes, breakdowns, car washed away in a flood!

also had suicides and hospital emergencies

I know sometimes things happen that do genuinely stop people getting to a meet, but beginning to think that people are jinxed when attempting to meet us lol

or is it all BS???

anyone else got any good excuses they have been given after a no show

My favourite* was 'I went into town last night and am still in bed with the woman I picked up'!

But it is usually car accident/flat tyre/had to work late/house exploded, that sort of thing.

* by favourite I actually mean the one that pissed me off the most.

Seems to be more from couples we found. Single guys always turn up.

Couples always appear to change mind usually at last minute with lame excuse.

Makes us wonder if its usually the male half wanting horny chat in week leading up to meet discusding what may happen knowing they wont be turning up

i asked the same thing awhile ago under forum excuses ....very funny some of them best thing is these people expect us to believe them lol ....one guy even said he was on his way and his son was involved in a car crash as was very poorly in hospital which was where he was going ...mmmmcant have been that bad as the guy was back on comp less than an hour later...do i believe people nahhh bull shits the word

For my 36 birthday a friend of mine threw me a birthday party in Feltham. He invited a lot of his swinging friends and we had a good time. The trouble was people who came by public transport were held up for a couple of hours by a suicide on the local railway line, which meant some no shows. For my 38 birthday, my friend threw me another party. Only a couple of people arrived because the line was shut with another suicide. Would be nice to have a party for me turning 40, but I am uncomfortable wondering what will happen.

We had a no show from a single guy. He had paid for the hotel room and then didn't show.....beggars belief but hey we had a free night in the hotel and next day when we checked his profile....no longer on site.

Ive had no " no shows " on here from single guys - ive found it much better than other sites. On POF I used to get loads of time wasters , lost / stolen phones, family ill , broken down cars etc - I have one strike and out rule now

Once a guy said he has fallen over and broken his arm - I had a real ruck at him ..... Then he sent a photo of the xray with said broken arm .... Ouch ... Oops

I've been very lucky that I've never had a no show in all the times I've been on here. I've had a couple of cancellations, the best one was from a younger guy I'd met a few times who cancelled last minute with an excuse that his gran had phoned him to go round to keep her company. He later admitted he had a girlfriend who he'd conveniently forgotten to tell me about and who'd turned up last minute to surprise him

How annoying.

Being stuck in hospital and not very mobile I would love the chance of a meet. If I said I was coming I would definitely come ~ my wheelchair has solid wheels so no punctures !

In a previous life I was a supervisor and the best excuse was his ex girlfriend, who he had not seen in a year and a half, was pregnant and it could be his !! ~ I didn't have the heart to tell a 25 year old the facts of life

I did actually meet him a couple of weeks later ( have done a few times since ) and he is a really nice guy - and did have the arm in cast ! LOL...plus the xray pics had his name on, date of incident etc. Bless

Ive found the opposite,never had a problem on pof yet on here have found myself on a number of occasions left standing by women who ive chatted too & struck up what I thought was some kind of fab friendship.no excuses just no shows & then either left site or blocked me.?! Can only concluded their fakes or timewasters that like the thrill of the chase or maybe the idea of a meet with no real intention of ever doing so.

Oh thats really bad - sorry to hear that has happened to you. On here all guys have turned up with a nice bottle of wine too.

My timewasters on POF were guys who basically either bottled it or wanted to wank for days over the " assumed " meet that would never take place !

I have only met three ppl from here this time round but I spoke to one guy I met on here last time, all the broken promises of meeting then he would just ignore me.... I don't understand why people say they will then don't? I take a while to meet guys as I wan't to be sure I am meeting a pretty normal guy not some pornstar wanna be

There are so few people on this site that are genuine and actually meet - any opportunity to meet is grabbed with both hands. I really do not get people who mess about.

well I deff think we are a jinx now!!

was supposed to meet a guy on Thursday last week, was talking right up to time he left his house and he never showed up

I just found out today after his absence of 3 days that he was knocked of his bike and broken leg in 3 places and broken his wrist!!!
