Been chatting with hubby and with a friend lately about what exactly a fuck buddy is and how it all works. We did try something like this a while back, where we had a regular guy we/I met with and we have recently been talking about trying it again. We have been discussing what OUR rules would be, but obviously would have to speak to the guy we have in mind, and check his feelings/thoughts on this, but we was just wondering what others think (to get some ideas etc).

I know we will all have our own definitions of this, and none of them will be right or wrong, but is a FB just someone you meet regularly, or is it someone who you do things as well as swinging with, or as one person said to me recently, is someone you meet once a week at the same time (god only knows where that definition came from?).

Also, if you are a couple and one of you has a FB, how does it all work? Do you only meet them as a couple (threesome) or does one part of the couple meet the FB alone as well as in a threesome situation?

Like I said, we are just throwing some ideas around and would love some input from other couples who may have done something similar, or even from single males who have been a FB to a couple/part of a couple.

Sorry, probably waffled on too much and didn't make it clear in my message. We know what our definition is, but was just wondering what others thought.

For us, it is someone we would meet regularly either as a couple, or perhaps just me meeting the guy. It would be for fun and sex, and not necessarily for day to day stuff.

As I said, just wondered how it worked with other couples and what others thought about it.

I just don't know why it matters what others think.

I used to have a 3rd in my relationship previously... We did normal stuff, he was there when my ex wasn't present to help me with stuff.

However ours was more a poly situation than fb. I also though had regular fb that I met maybe once or twice a week for just sex.

we used to have a FB. e was a guy that visited our area fairly often on business and stayed in a local hotel. He would call us a few days before he was coming and we would meet up at his hotel. We only went as a couple.

Personally i dislike the term FB & prefer FWB.

FB to me sounds like just a sexual object used when needed and disgarded.

FWB at least in my view is more than just sex, it's friendship and companionship without commitment. People who i do have an FWB relationship with still call on me today even if its just a chat or social without any expectancy to play.

This maybe a bit off topic but just my silly thoughts typed out

I'm not sure, if my situation is the same as you are speaking about, but I as a single female meet the husband of a couple and have done for a few years now, and yes it is only for sex (full fills a few things other men can't

)and for that I am truly thankful of his wife, I have met her, but socially only, it works for us

Thanks Suki, Yamaman and Skipton couple, and yes Suki, see what you mean about terminology and how it can make all the difference, which is one of the reasons why we was asking for some advice/thoughts from others who had been in this situation.

That sounds fairly reasonable to me, however I suppose it would depend upon individuals decisions. I don't think it would be a set day and time, more flexible for the couple or one member of the couple or the FB to call or text and say fancy meeting on such and such a day at such and such a time for however long. Only the other day a lady I've hosted several GBs for and seen a couple of times on her own contacted me. She asked if I was free yesterday afternoon for a massage and fun for 3 or 4 hours. I was and we did, see veri's. Now she's fairly local but the other half of her couple profile is some distance away and I've never met him, hope to at some point, does that make me their FB, I don't know but it seems to work. But basically like everything in this game it's whatever floats your boat

my other half and i chatted and decided to play years ago. she wanted a regular FB and i just wanted to play now and then.

In reality it ended up the other way around. me having one reg FB now for a few years and now and then playing with another,

She gets on here alot more chances to just pick and choose which means she gets fresh new FB every so often,

I think in the end you just got to go with the flow a bit and just have fun and be happy talk about it loads with eachother. A a good sex friend comes along and they become a reg FB
