Naming no names as it might lead to my posting being deleted, I joined a couple of other websites at the same time as here.

One has free trial membership including some messaging and seeing some pics. Of course to make contact you have to subscribe which was about 40 quid up front and about a tenner a month.

I registered without posting any pics but I seemed to get quite a healthy response from other members, a couple of couples approached me and a single female. The site says I am getting a couple of messages per day. In fact that was what put me off joining - it seemed ALMOST too good to be true but maybe I did strike lucky. If I had received hundreds of replies I would know for sure it was a scam but I still wonder if I missing the party?

Initially,no the messages came through but any that I sent back to arrange a meet or swap numbers were blocked. Presumably that was the case at the other end too, the "female" said it was.

After 10 days or so the trial ended so although I get email notifications that messages are waiting, I cannot access them at all without joining.

Like I say, it could all be legit and I happened to be near a few up-for-it types or it could be some bloke from the website firing-off tantalising teasers.

Yeah we joined one like that a while back.

You can't answer your mails unless you pay, but as the mails that were coming in from people we were not looking for anyway, we didn't pay to answer them.

Wasn't sure if it was set up mails like you say though, as none of them matched what we wanted.

as a female part of the cpl i can say we had aexactly the same experience when we joined a trail site

best thing is to remember that if it seems to good to be true then it is

Personally I don't think that you should have to pay anything to read and reply to messages

Have been on another site and when you first join you get loads of messages and winks but when you look most are from women overseas,

There are some that you have to pay a monthly or yearly subscription to look at mails or view people,but to be honest alot of them on there are on other sites including this one,must admit this is one of the better ones,

I am tempted to join the site that majors on the local swingers but I have to say that although I have only actually met one couple for an initial get-to-know-you-better, I have spoken to several women and overall, I am very pleased with Fab so far.

I had a friend who was paid to access other sites and 'poach' people over to the one she worked for. Sending requests to meet were all in a days work for her. Sorry, as said, if it seems to good to be true, then it is. xxx

we have been on several sites...most start as freebies then they ask for money to answer to others...first days u get loads of messages from others then when you reply to them no answer backs...most are just out for credit card details and money... We are happy with Fab...

If it sounds to good to be true it is!

I wouldn't give anyone but a reputable well known company my bank details as it could well become messy!

Anyway i get 100's a day why would you want to pay to go anywhere else

We joined Fab and LS when we started swinging 20 months ago. We have had most of our fun through LS, but are quite happy with Fab too. A lot of the people we have met are on both sites too.

The Forums are loads better here, and we have met people through contact here.

Don't know what it's like for a single though, but best of luck.

Some so called swinging sites use off the shelf software.Its easy to set up and the site can then generate profiles for you to make you look busy and send out emails to genuine members.This is to get you to pay up to read the emails.you can even get bots to work in chatrooms to make it look busy when you think your talking to some one your actually talking to a computer.I would say that there are 4 main decent swing sites for the UK and a few decent smaller ones.Its easy to set up a site and make money.But its costs money to run a decent site.

It will probably be a scam. Quite a few swinger and also ordinary dating websites let you join up for free. Once you join up you find you cannot read or reply to messages. Then a day or so later you will get a message(s) from people who are supposedly interested in you. However you are now in a dilema as to read the messsage and reply you have to pay and join up fully. So you join up and reply to the message(s) in your in box. Then you wait for a reply and NEVER get one. The reason being those type of websites have automated messages sent out to free members getting them to think they have people interested in them. The automated messages are just to get you to sign up and pay for full membership.
