So many people know their neighbours and beyond in an area . I'm a dog walker and everyone knows me within a 5 mile of my town. Do you think it's a) safe to play on your door step or b) more exciting?

As safe as playing anywhere i guess, i find it more comforting and easier but then some might not.

I don't know that it's more exciting i suspect that some might.

Horses for courses i would say...

Normally I would say it's fine as you expect everyone on here to have a level of discretion. But I had a guy come up and introduce himself as 'xxxxx off Fabs' while I was talking to a neighbour!

Had a guy come up to me in Morrisons who'd been to a couple of GBs I'd held. Nice guy but I was surprised, I'm single and it didn't matter but it was strange. Funnily enough the Morrisins was 30 or so miles from the GB location and it's another 15 or so miles to where I met him in Morrisons. So in the end local discretion doesn't really come into it.

I prefer the convenience, and for the most part, local people i've played with have maintained that level of discretion we all expect.

That being said...i understand why some people don't like playing "close to home"

We prefer not to meet locally if im honest, even though neither of us grew up where we live now it still doesnt make me very comfortable.

We've had a few occasions people claiming to see me out when i was (how they can recognise me from my tits and lips ill never know). Just weirds me out. Mrs x

I prefer to meet locally. And the meets I have are all discreet and trustworthy and to be honest I've never once bumped into anyone I've played with or chatted with and one lives in my village.

The nature of the way we meet means we don't know much about people so we're all at risk from stalkers and assorted oddballs who think that just because they like to broadcast their sex life so do the rest of us.

I know a woman in another site who lives in the middle east but has had someone from her home town threaten to put her naked pictures up in pubs there so your locality doesn't make a lot of difference.

Only my friends who I know and have met from here know what I am in to...... .

So if someone comes up to me and says I know you from fabs then they must be on fabs too and in to swinging.

In answer to the question it doesn't bother me knowing "locals" within my Leicester area.

If I knew everyone within a five mile radius of my home I'd know about 200,000 people.

Take a chance

We personally don't meet locals or play locally, not that we condone it, just our preference. We organise nights/weekends away to have a bit of fun. We have a good time, see a bit of the country and enjoy ourselves and what we do away stays away.

I'd second this- and if you add the scenario of having a senior position in a large company where many hundreds of people work too your professional reputation can feel a little vulnerable. The trust and discretion you give and expect Isn't always guaranteed in return. In the main it's all good but I prefer not to play too close to home just in case

I live in the sort of town where everyone knows everyone and everyone has a bit of gossip. Added to the fact that work takes me all over the midlands visiting a retailer where the staff all share the gossip.

Pretty sure things could get awkward.

Too horny/stupid to let it bother me. I dont actually think its anything to be ashamed of. Give me a bumper sticker!

the convenience of local is very good, and we are all adults, so anyone we meet in here is only here for the same thing, so a little nod of the head as you pass in the street is fine with me
