Done it once but never again. Any other person arranged a hotel meet paid for the room with the intention of when you met up with your meet they would go dutch but then let you down last minute. Leaving you out of pocket

My heart goes out to you. Having felt the 'pinch' of paying for the Radisson Edwardian in London when I had a similar experience, I have been a bit more cautious. Cheer up !

Have been let down twice after booking & paying for hotel...... Thankfully only premier inns & a nice peaceful afternoon of relaxing for me.............. I now don't agree to hotel meets, clubs are cheaper

Do you find clubs welcoming to single men? Always liked the idea but have been daunted by the idea. Someone from this forum did suggest a few places, than again its mustering enough courage and not quite knowing the nitty gritty.

Think that's the chance you have to take if you're meeting in hotels.

Yes. Booked and paid for but no show. Kept texting to say he was on his way then...oops, sorry, got to go to work!

The best excuse I had after she was "round the corner" for 30 minutes was that she developed shingles suddenly and was on the way to A&E....hmmm

as a woman I wouldn't know, but I find a club far cheaper than shelling out for a hotel

Over the rainbow, under the bridge

I always meet at mine - that way no cost incurred if they don't show.
