Why do people say they have sent you a text when they havnt, or say they cant see you because they are going on holiday, or say they will call you the next day then send text message saying they cant because their son is there.

then the day after you see on their status updates that they have met someone.

why dont they just say they are meeting someone else?

The problem here is that there are too may fish...some people (fem and male) would not hesitate to blow you out if a better offer came along...

we just have to make sure they only ever get one opportunity....block and move on..xx

Some people are honest, some aren't. I'd have more respect for someone if they were honest even if it was something like,;

Sorry your not my type. What comes around goes around. Move on, forget it and be happy.

I sometimes worry about letting people down, i think maybe i should be more like them and lie, when i change my mind and want to see someone else instead, if you cant beat em join em, as they say.

I would worry about this if I was looking to have a relationship with that person, otherwise I don't see the problem and certainly wouldn't be checking up on them to see if they are telling Me the truth or not. I don't have time for that.

I met a couple and didn't in my opinion have the greatest of times, I wouldn't meet them again.

They mailed and asked me to verify them... So yes a white lie is sometimes the best thing to do. However I would not write anything on my status that would contradict that. That is really stupid and potentially hurtful.

Perhaps and i could be wrong but just perhaps the person in question had been lied to by other females and couples in the past and thats why they did it.

It's a situation ongoing since time immemorial and is probably linked to people not wanting to hurt your feelings coupled with a hefty dose of 'leaving the door open ' in case other options fail to materialise!

I am relatively forgiving of many of the human race's individual foibles - BUT I HATE people lying to me. I'd rather be told the truth cos I wanna know where I stand wiv folk

Whats been annoying me recently (Mr) is guys contacting us who have straight down on their profile but

a) send us several pictures of them engaging in bi or gay sexual activities

b) Have several verifications from men describing having sex with said "straight" man

We are not anti anything, but this is a pure "liar" thing it just baffles the mind why people are doing this.

Making excuses is an easier way out for some than to tell it as it is, such as sorry, I don't fancy you because you are too needy/ugly/fat/hairy/whatever, possibly because they do not want to hurt the other person's feelings, or they do not want to face the consequences of rejecting someone with bunny boiler tendencies etc...
