I've just complimented a profile regarding their pics. With a blink of an eye they have blocked me. To me that showed arrogance and a lack if humility. Why not thank me then just say your not my type? Each to their own I guess but not nice

You send a message and I am guessing they don't want single guys, so to save cluttering the inbox, they delete and block. Standard practice on here, we do it too.

If they were like most single guys and only got one message a week, perhaps they could type back, but if they are like most couples and particularly singe fems, they wouldn't have time! Especially if they are on more than one site like we are!

i suppose it depends on what they are asking for on their profile...if they're not interested in single men they may see your message as intrusive and a way to get round their preferences...we try to respond to all messages but constantly saying no thanks is tedious...luckily we're not inundated as some couples are

Never expect a response, assume anything, or try and evaluate why people act the way they do - and life on here is a joy!!

Try and over analyse, evaluate and work out why people make certain decisions - and it becomes frustrating, disappointing and a chore!

We only block without reply when it's clear that the contact has not read our profile or doesn't meet our main requirements by a mile. We used to reply politely to each one, but got fed up with people who wouldn't take no for an answer. It isn't personal, it just saves time.

I get the occasional message re my pics. I would never respond to a simple 'I like your pics' type message with a thanks but your not my type. That's a bit presumptious assuming that just because the person ( be it man/woman/couple) are after a meet just because they've paid me a compliment. I've complimented people's pics before but they aren't people I would want to meet.

Granted a thank you is nice to recieve but unfortunately some people on here (and I'm not saying you are one of them as I don't know you) don't know when to leave it. So a thank you leads to more and then they won't bugger off. It's just easier (and more time saving for both parties) to block.

Some very valid points with yours being a great point. I was merely just complimenting her pics with no hidden agenda's but as you say if you replied to all who complimented your pics the majority would take it as a green light and continue to message. A bit abrupt to block but in the grand scheme of things at least both parties know where they stand

I will be honest, i get a few messages on here saying about nice photos and the likes and sometimes if they are seedy or not to my liking i will block to save further correspondance

i'm not claming your messages are like the above as whenever you have spoke to me on here you are respectful and polite

BUT

people work the profiles differently it may not be the way you like it but its UP TO THEM x

Don't think of it as harshly blocked, more as saving you the trouble of chasing a dead end. See they are now nice people who have gone out of their way to assist you in finding a suitable meet. and the world is back to pink and fluffy again

to be honest rather than harsh blocking I am now tempted to look at it the other way...

I think there are way too many people who are over sensitive about the smallest things....

if they rant over a block I hate to see how they deal with the big decisions in life.....

I block all the time, usually guys who accidently resend me a message that is obviously copy and pasted to everyone else. Also people who lack imagination and manners, it saves getting another message off them 5 minutes later asking why you Havnt replied!!

Look at it this way.. you offered compliments on some photos... and they saved you from meeting an arrogant, possibly self-obsessed couple of people who you may well have regretted ever speaking to... Silver lining in every cloud...
