I must admit I do not receive many. It's more some eegit who thinks because I am bi, that I will want to suck him off & send me a 1-liner. I'm not that desperate to be honest. I tend to send messages if I can be bothered to trawl through the profiles & find one interests me, but I get a feeling of desperado doing that I'm afraid

We like winks

We love winks

Winks to us mean that the person that sent it is interested in getting to know us better.

If we are not interested in them we simply ignore the wink.

As we always respond to every mail we get we find winks so much easier to deal with. if we like what we see and want to know more we wink back, we would then expect them to mail us since we have all shown an interest in each other and they made the first move.

If on the other hand we are not interested in getting to know them better, for instance if they don't have any pictures, won't meet smokers or we simply dont find thier profile/pictures attractive we just ignore the wink. We don't have to send a negative but polite response.

we do get a few winks a week, and yes if we are interested we do wink back, but even if we arn't and ignore it most the time they end up sending us a message any way...so really the wink was a waste of time.we always reply to messages ever if it's a nice thanks but no thanks..also say you at chams a few times sasha wasn't you there 24th dec

a nice message is great and we are not against them but we hate the ones you like

"hi how you doing"

that means we have to reply with

"we are great thanks"

then your into a dozen one liners backward and forwards until finally they ask if you want to meet and you have to point out that your over thier age criteria or they "wont meet smokers" or they have no pictures or you simply are not interested, try saying that beforfe they ask and its "how up yourself are you we were only being sociable and chatting we didnt say we wanted to meet"

So yes we dont mind the initial contact being by mail but one liners or "talk arounds" dont do it for us either.

Waste of time.

We couldn't give a stuff whether someone is interested or not. It's completely irrelevant unless they want to take it further than just expressing an interest.

We're also not going to message someone back just because they winked at us, because we don't want to waste our time.

We're quite happy not to approach anyone at all, and simply read the odd message that does land in our inbox and decide go/no-go then.

We've got a strong core of top-quality friends we can play with, so we believe we can afford to lose out on a few good ones who are allergic to typing.

Wow, some people seem so very serious.

Winks are handy to me, though to be honest I/We rarely wink anyone.

As I've stated before, people are not always entirely honest or forthcoming in their profiles on what they seek, winks are handy for those not quite sure if they fit their criteria, a little wink to say hi, would you care to take a look at my profile and if interested then wink back, it's still left in the hands of the initiator to make the first move in messaging.

Fact that winks are an option, they will be used, I do wish people would stop being so uptight about such a thing, this is supposed to be about fun.

I so agree with JednSasha. Winks are a quick no pressure way of saying you like the look of someone. If you don't agree delete the wink and move on. If you do, wink back and wait for a proper message.

It works for me and don't understand why someone would be upset by a wink?

Some do get upset by it though, strange really, I've seen people suggest people winking them are wasting their time, not sure how, if they don't take any interest in winks then don't look at the wink list, people rant about them being lazy, when I think they are lazy for not considering the usage of winks and needing it all spelt out to them hence messages being the only way to contact.

Thanks for your message, but just to help out a little, if interested I would suggest winking back, or messaging, if not interested then there's no need to reply, that's the ideal thing about winks, trouble is some people are too lazy to use the site properly.

No I didn't bother reading that, as I was only winking due to this thread, and not through actual interest as I diodn't read your profile or look at your pics to know whether or not I hold interest, as we are not seeking just now with lack of time, so why tease myself.

Some people send a wink because its a way of making contact with less commitment.

Messages don't always go answered and we admit to being guilty of that.

Also some people fear rejection, for one reason or another, sending a wink means they're interested but don't want to commit to sending a message.

If you get a wink and like the look of the senders profile, send one back, chances are you'll then get the message you require.

When we join this site we agree to abide by the rules.

As it stands there is a facility to send a wink to anyone you wish.

If you send a wink you are not breaking any rules. therefore if someone replies with any abuse for you sending the wink you should report them to the site admin.

However, we all have preferences and if someone chooses to put a note on thier profile to the effect that they do not wish to recieve winks from anyone we should all respect that.

So those who do not wish to recieve them should put something to that effect on thier profiles or ignore them when they recieve them and not complain about getting them.

True many people do not bother to read profiles but they are the kind of people you probably don't want to meet anyway so you at least you will know who they are and you can choose to ignore them or block them.

I think it depends which one of the two you prefer having ignored..

But if you send a wink you'l know that people may well look at your profile and decide whether or not to send one back depending how much they like what they see..

I think a brief message is more polite and can say a bit more about you..

What really gets my goat though are people who send friend requests and then ignore you when you send a message back with it saying Hi etc...

I must admit, first impressions of this site were good..I thought everyone was really friendly..well..with each other..but it looked welcoming...not so, if you try to engage in conversation in a chat room you are ignored (by conversation we mean something more than 'very nice') and equally ignored in the introductions..

Ok we are Sunday league..we dont want to go out and rump with someone different every week..we are too shyself conscious for clubs and parties..we not into dogging or gang bangs..but we have swung though but that seems like its not enough

I dont know what more you can do..

I have stated on my profile that I use winks, to me this is a filter, people that contact me should expect winks, Like most posters on here state, they are a nice way to initiate 1st contact, when I am interested in the "WINKER", I reply with a message.

As for the chat room, I would not go as far as calling it a clique, but there is a degree of rudeness.

So forums and my small number of like-minded friends is all I need, chatroom's loss

Well, I hope our post didnt look like we were moaning for the sake of it

But its frustrating because our 'free' time is limited because we have kids at home so when we get the odd Saturday night to ourselves we like to push the boat out a bit..

We was trying to do 'what we want and how we want' in not only the directing room but also the lobby and general chat..

Mrs CamSwing asked quite a few times if there were any couples (whos cam wasnt 'broken' and wife wasnt in bed, out,at her mums' etc) who fancied a little fun...nothing!..so we can relate to King of Leons 'Swing from the lampshade story. LOL

Mzynty...I'd love to agree about the forums..but we posted a brief 'hello' about ourselves in the 'Introductions thread..7 days later we had one reply..I have been checking the comp all day to make sure we are not using invisible ink! lol

I hope you are right about 'finding what we want eventually' its a great site and the fact that nobody talks to us hasnt detered us yet from sticking it out a little longer (scuse the pun!!) lol

Thanks for the comments..xx

True, I get lots of messages ignored, with not even a "No Thanks", If I wink and get no response no problem, but if I spend the time to try say something witty in a message I'd hope to get something back!

I don't expect them to reply if they're not interested, its the norm, just makes winks easier than wasting time.
