A post on the married man thread triggered a memory of discussions I have had with some men in the past.

The gist is that many men prefer to meet married women or couples as single women are potentially dangerously looking for a boyfriend.

Women, have you experienced this?

Men, what are your thoughts?

I'm the same been married twice never again . Just because i like to meet for a drink or bite to eat and flirt & occasionally want a fella the whole night does not mean I want hubbi no 3. Harsh as it sounds, Im self sufficient, had kids all I need is the sexy side and not just with one guy. Just a few respectful sexy fellas keeps me going in between the main and most important part of my life.

I suppose what I was getting at last night is that married woman suit some men so receive less condemnation than married men (plus the ratio issues). Conversely, it sometimes means it is more difficult for single women to get meets.

I have found the opposite. Most men I meet prefer single women. However I do have a friend who prefers married women for the naughtiness of it. Having another mans wife is a turn on for him.

People become attached regardless of sex or marriage status.

Attachment is a tricky one.

Perhaps it's just the men I speak to and the conversations we have that enables them to say they prefer attached women to avoid attachment to them.

when i was a single woman was definitely NOT looking for a bf. Some of the guys I did meet (was a different naughty site) would say they'd had issues before with girls wanting more but was never an issue with me. Would usually send a message the day after to say "had fun, thanks and take care..."

Might be just me but i preferred the buzz of meeting new people so didn't have that many FB, more one time meets.

when i was on a dating site a few years ago some men didnt like it because i was married even thoughj my hubby knew i met other men, so i lied and said i wasnt married, some people think if youve never been married there is something wrong with you.

people are usualy more broad minded on this site though.

I like meeting married as they are in the same boat as me it's more exciting but I also enjoy the single as long as they know that I am some people think its wrong but I don't force anything on them , it's my choice , plus if I'm in a relationship I'm not wanting another so it's just pure fun and sex

It really doesn't bother me if a woman is single, part of a couple or whatever else - that's her business as long as she is honest about it.

One observation I will make, though, is that there seems to be far more tolerance of women who are cheating than men who are cheating. If it's a man, the reaction tends to be, "shameful two-timing cheat" whereas, if it's a woman, it tends to be more like, "yeah, go girl power".

Another observation I might through into the mix is the common practice for women with single profiles to arrange meets on the condition that they will be bringing their FB along with them. Not a problem, as long as it's made clear in the first place, but a little curious in light of how vociferously one or two of those same women have criticized men for doing something similar recently.

Personally, I'm happy to meet a woman regardless of her relationship status - as long as she doesn't turn out to have whiskers poking out from under her make-up and answer to the name Kevin.

I don't agree with more tolerance being shown to women but I do think it is partly to do with the numbers and partly to do with men being more willing to meet an attached woman than women are to meeting attached men.

I really don't see why any woman who will only meet with her FB criticises a man that wants to do the same.

I am not looking for romance or emotional attachment, as I do not have the time to invest in a full blown relationship.

I am not looking for someone to be a sperm donor for my eggs because my ovaries are burning and my biological clock ticking, as gynaecologically, I am a fossil already.

I am not looking for a meal ticket or for someone to provide for me, as I can support myself and my pets.

What I am looking for, is no string attached fun with like-minded single gents.

It has been said to me before that women of a certain age, as in those in their mid forties onwards, are less likely to be looking for someone to start a family with. Hence they are more likely to be seeking NSA fun without any hidden agenda.

I'm strictly here for sex with nice sociable company, but nothing more.

But it worries me just how many men change their tune just as soon as they've had their leg over....

Suddenly the conversation turns to "we" could do this, or "we" could go to clubs, or "we" could meet other couples....

Guys, there is no "we" - please - I want to enjoy your company, and maybe do it again, but when I leave your door then I'm not looking back!

I have never had a guy say he won't meet me because I am single. Lots of guys I have met prefer to meet single women as most of the time they can end up feeling like a spare part when they are playing with couples or they are just there to facilitate the couples needs!

As a single woman I like not having to share the TV remote but there are times when I miss having a special someone around! So I would never rule out a relationship.

We had a purely hypothetical "what if" conversation last night and "she" said that she wouldn't want another guy because of the upset for the kids etc. she would have a single profile on FAB.

You have a point. This is clearly seen by the high number of single ladies profiles that within weeks of joining are no longer swinging alone. I remember when I first started it was often mentioned by men to me, normally because they want another woman to join in.

I think that is a good point.

I am not actively looking for a partner and I am enjoying all that Fab is bringing me but I think I would find someone more compatible from the swinging scene than from a vanilla lifestyle

Agree with above. Been there, got the t shirt, as they say. Doesn't mean I won't fall in love ever again but I'm not wasting time searching for it. Everyone needs to be held, cuddled and made to feel special sometimes. Does not need to have a ring attached to it though.
