as a single fem i get quite a lot of timewasting by single men too.bloody infuriating.its usually cos they are married or just no bottle!

Well the last four guys have messed us about so it tends to taint one's view, we have met some great guys at clubs and parties but on a one to one basis not much luck, maybe if they can't muster courage to go to a party or club then they are not going to meet any other way.

Plenty of time wasters of both sexes, singles and couples. Whenever I organise a GB / party I worry about people not turning up. Usually lots of single guys who do not turn up, sometimes without a word, often called into work on a Saturday night

I gave up approaching couples years ago as I got well in to double figures for those that were interested then disappeared/blocked/stopped responding to messages as soon as a meet was on the cards. If I get approached and get a meet out of it that's fine, until then I'll always put the odds in favour of it falling through- maybe that's a tainted view, maybe it's a realistic view- never take a meet with anyone for granted until you're naked and bumping uglies

I can agree to that I just spent 30 mins waiting outside what was clearly someone else's house I guess I should have seen it , but it feels horrible

Not gonna name and shame but iv just been let down by a female and we were meant to meet a couple so she messed up the night for us all so it isnt just guys

I appreciate the OP run of bad luck.. four guys in a row pulling out is shocking. However, I must stress I've experienced the same with many couples pulling out of meets!!

Single ladies tend to be more reliable...

This is why we rarely try to arrange meets through Fabs any more. Far more reliable to go to a club and meet people for REAL. Having said that, the guys Ruby sees herself have been very reliable, on the whole. Okay, there have been a couple of arseholes, but it hasn't put her or us off of meeting guys in the future. Mind you, they do get a grilling from me before they ever get to meet her, but it must work as they keep coming back for more (cheeky sods!) Lol!

my advice, choose better

and I'd say that to a single guy

I did read the age range, perhaps that could be lowered somewhat

in researching ur guys more often than not try choosing guys with some meets under their belts. I dont know if its both organizing or whether its the male half doing the arranging..I find that off putting.I also like a phonecall, most of the time its no matter how well verified the people are.I tend not to be using camchat as I dont think most of the time thats about getting a meet or having a wank, most of the time in my experience people have said they get the cam session and not the meet(even if they promise to come).Do u's check the guys have met cpls???

so anyway..my main advice is ur selection process and of course...

not moaning about it all being single men..as many cpls (u can check them out, and whos verified them!)have no probs with the single men they have met

We have never had a negativce response at all from guys but appreciate it can happen.

Bout ten years back there used to be a yahoo list of reccomended guys yahho users created. Maybe its time it was re- introduced?

and are often told they are talking pish and to change how they search for meets.

The single guy tarnish?- that only comes because there are MORE of us than any other group on fab.Couples arent that great, then there is the small percentage women theres arseholes in those groups too.

Perhaps some of us single guys and those that successfully meet them are a bit sick of moans n complaints????- yes..its truem read that on a forum once

I've been messed about by a few on here, but they only get one chance with me and then I delete and block... I can't be arsed with guys that can't make their minds up or bottle it on the last minute! Very frustrating!

Then they've given up too easily and are probably not the kind of people you'd want to meet anyway. I've been on here for a while now, and had my fair share of fantasists, no-shows, and chickens, yet I still meet. Because the chances are there will always be someone one this sort of site like that.

Oh, and the worst timewasters for me were couples, and I don't see any of them moaning on the forums that other couples give them a bad name.

Don't blame others behaviour. Just make sure you don't behave that way.

Timewasters exist in all categories - just easier to focus in single guys

Easiest thing to do is one strike and our policy - lots of choice on here

In 5 years I have only ever been let down ONCE and hat was by a single guy. Maybe I've just been lucky, maybe I have a good vetting process, maybe I have good instincts. Not sure. Maybe it's a combination of all of them.

But don't let one bad experience ruin it for you with all single guys. I have heard of plenty of single girls and couples who have done the same thing. And I really do hate the whole slagging off of single guys, it just seems more prevalent with them because there are so many more of them. But to be honest, I don't think the ratio of timewaster single men is any worse than that of girls or couples.

I only meet single guys, and in 5 years, I've never been let down by a single guy. This is because I screen very carefully, before I ask for/agree to a meet.

I like to "waste" my own time having a laugh with all my friends in the chatrooms If someone doesn't have time to have a laugh with us all, then I won't meet. At least this means that I don't get messed around by dreamers or fantasists!

I've been let down once, a few years ago by someone I'd met four or five times previously. He later apologised and admitted that he had an on off girlfriend and had been caught out as he was leaving the house
