We arranged to meet a couple recently in a layby hid by some trees, the idea was to watch each other with our partners. wed only just parked up when a police car pulled up. stopped and drove off, just wondered if anyone had been caught out and what happened? xx

First of all police aren't stupid, you're more likely to get their back up with a story like that. The reason they patrol dogging sites is because they're known dogging sites.

If you're not outraging common decency, ie if there's little chance that someone will see you, then the likelihood is you will just be moved on.

Sex in a public place is illegal if your plan was to get caught , the grey area is were and when , so sex on the door step of say local shopping mall will get you banged up , sex in a quite country lane/field will get you at most a caution . The offence comes when you engage is a sexual act in front of others knowing they are watching .The watchers are also committing a offence of indecency too. Your chances of being caught are small unless you choose a dogging spot that is on there watch list due to anti social behaviour ie boy racers and cruiser spots.

didnt i just explain that but in fewer words, it isnt illegal to have sex in public, howevet it is illegal to put on a show, ie, let people watch, doing it where you will be seen by others whether they want to watch or not, but there is no law in this country that says its illegal to have sex in a public place/outside, its outraging common decency thats illegal.

Some years ago we got disturbed by the whole works, police helicopter, patrol car and a dog section van. Investigating a report of screams heard in the woods and no it wasn't us. They did come back later and apologised for the disturbance.
