What do people prefer a wink to break the ice or message. Seem to spend a lot of time writing just to get deleted. Your thoughts happy swingers ??

Personally I prefer a message, one that shows the individual has taken time to read your profile and preferences.

A wink is ok if followed by a message IMO

If you view taking the time to write a message as a waste - just because it may get deleted - then i think you may struggle on here without a change of attitude!

Nothing in life or on Fab is guaranteed but without taking a chance you're likely to end up nothing other than frustrated and disillusioned!

We don't mind winks at all.

Yep it breaks the ice and if we are interested we would wink back.

It would be at that point we would expect a decent message which we would always reply to.

I don't think there's anything wrong with his attitude. In life, how many of us genuinely have the bottle to start a conversation with someone we'd like to ask out, let alone sex with?

And how are these conversations usually started? A smile or a wink across a room. If you get a smile back, then you approach and then comes the dialogue.

I think it's not a case of either/or when it comes to winks and messages but using them together in a similar way as if trying to meet that person face to face.

I think it's simply a change of style in approach is what the OP needs. Lets face it, seeing what you thought was a "well structured" message deleted seconds after you've sent it for reasons unknown will naturally get to you!

Me too, although many fellas won't be able to win either way as lots of people say they don't like winks either

A wink is fine by us although if we like what we see we will wink back and wait for a message

Ha! I just went through mine. 90% of which clearly haven't bothered looking at my profile preference or have and just chose to ignore it. Ages ranging from 18-74!!! Lol. At least 30 had no pics at all let alone a face pic so wouldn't bother messaging them anyway. A few are old faces/friends. And ONE... Yes one was someone not too far away that I'd consider meeting!

my wink point(being serious for a change), I have enough on my profile..even some pics that are face shots

so if I wink someone the idea is if they like me,they wink back

steady on they arent shagging me yet ffs

a winkback, means I can progress to the next stage

thats all..and yes..i think anti winkers are far too anal about the whole thing, thats my opinion.

*and if a wink insinuates im lazy in bed etc etc blahhblahhblahh, it only appears to me that they are probably a little too anal for my likings

a wink doesnt mean someone wont communicate, its the simple opener thats all

If someone winked me that was within my preferences etc (or at least close) and had a face pic that I could see in public album then id message back.

I do think a married 74 year old from up north (example not actual profile) is pushing their luck a bit tho lol x

I prefer a message even if its the length of a tweet. I have sent winks trying to hotlist people on my phone so annoying
