We went to one recently and it was a Rock Stars 60's to 80's.

Ric went as Axle Rose (even had a shave ) and I went as Cher (see gallery).

It was a great night and everyone made a great effort,I even got off with Dolly Parton and Shania Twaine. T

The rule of thumb for parties has to be "easy outfit" something everyone can dig out of the cupboard or will likely have anyway (and the club/party swinging fans often have lots)

We did a very successfull party where everyone had to wear white, it didn't matter what they wore or how much or how little so long as it was white.

We had UV lighting all around the lounge and effect was pretty amazing.

Uniforms are another easy one as it covers Dr's, nurses, police, fire, army, maids, in fact any kind of outifit that has ever been used as a uniform.

Tarts n Vicars.

Topsy Turvey (men as women - women as men.

Builders and Basques

Toga party (Roman orgy/Greek gods to widen the theme)

Beach party, (bikini's, speedo's sarrongs)

hope those few ideas help
