A friend has asked me to ponder a question in a forum so here goes....

She is a single woman and does not find black men sexually attractive so has no intention of meeting any.

She put on her profile "sorry guys but I not interested in black or asian men, white men only please"

She had 3 or 4 messages off black men calling her racist?! As a single man I see plenty of profiles which state they are only looking for black men, but i dont find this racist, i jsut understand its their personal preference.

So why is it seen as ok to say no white men, but racist to say no black men?

Anyone can put what their preferences are/arent.

If you don't want to fuck fat people, say so.

If you don't like tattoos or piercings, just let the folks know.

Tell people you're straight or bi and are looking for the same or different.

The only time it could would or should be construed as racist is if someone said "no black or asian people as they are an inferior race" or something like that - which WOULD be racist and should get them banned from the site straight away as well as a phone call to the'polis' as we call 'em.

So no, not racist. And people who casually play the 'racist' card on the flimsiest of pretexts are usually the kind of folk you wouldnt want to hang out with anyway.

Some people say they only want to meet black guys, others say they only want to meet white guys - I don't see either as being racist, it's just an expression of one's likes or dislikes.

Now on the other hand if they'd said we don't want to meet wogs or honkies, then that would put totally different slant on it, that would be racist as it is an insulting or offensive way to describe another person because of the colour of their skin.

That aside though, some folks are all to keen to pull the race card - because it suits their particular situation at the time. They don't get the result they want, so they shout 'racism' Thanfully those people are in the minority

Have to agree it’s a preference and nothing more, having said all that sometimes it’s better not to say things on a profile that can be taken in other ways, you can always reply with a no thanks if someone is not for you.

I personally think it wold be a great benefit to everyone if there was a race option on peoples preferences , that way ladies looking for black can indicate there preference and those only seeking white dont have to use those ugly caps on their profile and also can decline an approach by politely saying , sorry you dont meet our preferences , then nobody gets hurt feelings.saves a lot of wasted time for everyone i would think .

or perhaps a traffic light system on peoples profiles? just trying some out of the box thinking .

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought that the whole idea of your profile was to let people know what floats your boat and what doesn't.

All I can think of is that if they protest at being excluded then they maybe trying to over compensate for a lack of something in their life

Tell your friend to do what do if the dont fit into what you want. Ignore and delete them they aren't worth the energy of worrying about.

I'm black and want to meet white men only.

I usually get from black guys - "so, what's wrong with black guys, why are you putting down your own..."

I don't even bother to answer because it is my preference - don't want to play with short men either, get some of them coming with "funny" quips to ie we're all the same height when we're lying down, I can wear heels etc.

Sadly we only have to look at some threads to realise that personal preferences are questioned all the time and they shouldn't.

Good ideas but wouldn't work as people don't read the profiles as it is!!!

Couldn't agree more! Some people have big chips on their shoulders and should get a life instead of whining. G has a beard and we've had people saying 'no thanks, we don't like beards' and he doesn't take offence and complain they're beardists!

It's all down to personal preference. Nobody should be made or expected to do anything they don't want in the swinging world just to please some PC agenda.

Agree entirely with this, a member's personal choice is just that, none of us is here to meet people because it's charity week!

As an aside Ive had similarly abusive messages from some white males who I've politely declined, not because they're white but because they're too old/young/pushy/far away etc, some seeing my hubby is black will then counter with "you're racist because you only meet black men"..which is weird since I havent met any, I just happen to be married to one!

It's really sad that there are people out there who throw out the race card when they dont get what they want...or in this case...got TURNED DONT...What a bunch of LOSERS. Its a woman's world and they've got a right to say who they prefer or not. Them black guys...that sent that message are WEAK...and cant handle rejection well. Do yourselves a favour...seek help.

Everyone's entitled to their own sexual preference... or whom they find attractive.

I fully agree with your friend - there is nothing wrong with being honest if you do not like black men/white men which ever the case maybe you should be allowed to say so without the fear of upsetting peeps by telling them in advance what you do or don't like... to my mind you are doing them a favour by saving them time from responding to your ad...

thats because nine times out of ten the one who uses the race card is the racist and racism has nothing to do with colour of skin or where in the world you come from it comes down to net getting your own way and blaming some one else for it

at the end of the day NO means NO and if you dont like it change your way of life and move on

Liking sex with black men, not liking sex with black men, or slim people, or hairy people, or large people, or ginger people, or tall people.

It is personal preference and a fact that some people don't get turned on by some types, how can that be racist.

If it is we need to stop people writing it, oh and stop these parties where there are only Black men for white women, and stop black men advertising themselves as being black, and these women whose profiles state "especially looking for black men" and the "Coffee n Cream" nights at clubs an sod it you get the idea

Anything that blatantly rules someone out can annoy them. You have the same with sizes, beards, age, body hair, cock size etc..

What I find strange though is its only the race card that is pulled by some with the possible exception of BBW’s getting a little irritated. When was the last time you heard someone saying your being Hairyist or cockist? Doesn’t happen as far as i know. I think it just points to the complainer/s being a little immature over things.

One good suggestion is to put what you want and not what you don’t though. Its far less negative and confrontational. If she put “I have a preference for tall white blonde males” it’s a liking and if someone complains over that then they want kicking off here.

Kate is not attracted to black or asian guys, and has often said she has no desire to play with them. I am attracted to some black and asian ladies, in just the same way as I'm attracted to some white ladies. It's personal preference and not prejudice.

At the end of the day, if you think it is prejudicial, who are you going to complain to? Can you imagine taking legal action against someone who doesn't want to shag you?

Fact is no matter how you phrase it there will always be someone who has the hump. Although this specific thread is about race it could easily be about any preference.

Some people have chips on their shoulders and take personaally anything that excludes them! On another site I'm on people post ads. If I read an ad that states no bbws or women over 40 I just click on to the next ad. It would never cross my mind to write complaining!!

I'll tell you what it is, it's a few stupid people getting others a bad name, most asian and black people accept that some people don't find them sexually attractive in the same way some large people do the same as some white people do, the same as some slim people, tall people, short people, hairy people do.

hello to all here first of all i want to say im lookn from the outside to this debatte and topic here cause iam not british im a born german but parents are prober mixed cultures what is a plus i think i speak 4 languages and the 5th is english what iam trying to , so my friends here i came to this country with very nice feelings cause i grow up with a english friend who is my best friend so i decided to come to his roots for respect to his friendship to see and know more about his culture not only what he told to me , i m very interested why this threat doesnt has the topic with the question why or if it is racisim if somebody is writing i like blacks please only blacks ,, the funny thing is i wrote to 1 of those cpls and wrote hey im not black but u can be sure will have the same or maybe more fun xxx and i got a invite from them so easy i mean that not a topic to talk about black and white cause u open this topic that shows there is a problem im not a doctor or a psycho but with my bad english i can understand that not everything is not racism on this threat here for example the thing with the swimming story thats just funny what do u think the african people has to be every where in the sports that somebody can mix sport in a sex site in such a debatte that shows u dont have any respect for a sport for any user to has to read this rubbish here to have totally maybe other minds from english people maybe and u never or could have respect for another cultures thats my thinking about this threat and this people who makn jokes and trying to make some people down who are they ??? they are british people like u but when u need a good singer or sportler or one with a huge cock to satisfy somebodys wife for this there good enough thats just funny people why u dont look to have fun here and pick the small things and try to make elephants at least a topic where so much people was involved hope everybody understand me a bit , iam sure every black guy here know the british national hymn just a small question who ever ask his self not to learn the african one , who only hear one time a national hymn

Apologies if I haven't read all the posts (only the OP and first maybe 5 responses) but for general info this was touched on some 4 weeks ago on thread http://www.fabswingers.com/forum/swingers/15048 so I'll try not to rehash, however...

To the OP - your friend (just like everyone else) has EVERY right to express whatever preference they so desire - be it white, black, dwarves, uniforms, black-chinese mix (blackanese?) or even guys with beard.

One's preference is up to them and them alone, anyone that doesn't like it can sling their hook. I am a Pro-Preference Player ESPECIALLY if it doesn't work in my favour. Yes I've been turned down by people who don't fancy black guys, am more than happy to accept that as I know where I stand and IMHO it helps forge a mutual understanding and somewhat platonic friendship with the other party will full knowledge it won't go any further.

Assuming I met your friend at a party and she expressed her preference, I can not and WILL not get upset nor question her - her choice. Anyone that then resorts to insults either needs to grow up or leave the scene. Simple.

Having done black and aisan men they otoamctial think that I wont do white men again. So I find that these two groups become pushy because been there and done that. But remind them am part of a couple and always have a white man in my bed so of course will like a bit of white meat.

They then have a go at my hubby which is quite unfair and I feel that it them that are being racist when they do this. But they should feel quite please that my husband is glad to share me and leaves the choosing up to me.

All their pushing puts me off meeting a black guy again. So even if have met the odd chocolate man as I like to call them does not mean you want to stick to that type of candy.

I just like anything that is differnt to hubby and that means not bald or has no hairy chest. Was asked by guy what I was thinking when we finished playing. As we used his nickname we had given him. I said you are all forms of my hubby in disguise.

I would say you were unfortunate with the guys you had "done", not all guys are like that. ZoeRose and myself went to a club once where she played with a guy early int he evening - he then went on to get upset because he thought she would stay with him and play with ONLY him the rest of the night and no one else. He had to be told where to go.

People are different and its hard to judge a whole group (irrespective of the group) by the actions of any one guy.

Example - wen you see a pushy single guy at a party, would you label all single guys the same hence the "no single guys at our party" mantra purported by some?

We went to a party last nigth where ALL The single guys were absolute gents - in fact the only trouble was from the male half of one couple - an asian guy - he was pushy, assuming, grabbing women and wanting to play with them without asking, no introductions or making convo .. left his partner to go do all of this, everytime she came to find him he'd go to another room to try his luck there and be told off again.

It got to the point he was annoying not just the ladies and other couples - but even the single guys. I reckon the only reason he wasn't asked to leave was cause he was a couple and there weren't that many there (even though his partner wasn't playing).

Does he get judged as "one of THOSE couples" (sweeping generalisation just like other single men) or because he was asian? Personally, I'd say neither - he was a twat, plain and simple.

Maybe it was just there way of doing things have met many guys on here that have been pushy but been white so it not a colour thing at all. But some guys think because you have party with them once that you automaticly want to be with them again but sometimes it cuirmstances that dont permit and then they turn pushy so you get put off by them

I don't believe it's exclusively a black problem, the majority of black males who are members here are polite engaging and nice people-just as the majority of white males are.

It's about rude, arrogant people who hail from all races, ages & sexes..so it would be better to say 'sometimes rude, arrogant people don't help themselves'

I said earlier on this thread that Ive encountered white males who Ive declined, who have rudely accused me of only wanting to meet black males. Their evidence? The fact my husband happens to be black, and ironically he's the only black male Ive ever been intimate with! G

There are so many people who get offended if people put no black men/ no white men/ no bbw/ noskinny women/no redheads/blondes/ etc etc on their profile even though it isn't intentional on their parts to offend, and is exactly what people say, preferences of what you don't want.

Us we don't like to offend people, and we try not to, so we just put on our profile what we do want, rather than what we don't.

That wasy if someone mails us that we don't like the look of, we don't get accused of being racist/fattist/ skinnyiest ( I wonder is that a word )redheadist etc etc and we don't offend the people who get offended by it.....or the people who shout racist if you said no.

I (Mrs Tigs) has a couple of accounts on this site.. Each looking for a different thing. One of the accounts funkytigers is a fem fem couple account. This account clearly states that I am not interested in playing with black or asian guys. I am not racist in the slightist. I have loads of friends that are black or asian, but on a personal level I dont find them sexually attractive.

But, we still get black and asian guys messaging us stating, Ive just read your profile etc....., which obviously they havent, so we just hit the delete button!

I only had one person ever message us asking, was it because he was black that we would not play with him.

im with you for wanting brains, wit and sarcasm, no point in meeting someone who cant hold an intelligent conversation and one normally gets from the messages they send that they dont seem to have anything between their ears.
