Why do people wink, straight guys are you asking for an invite to a GB I'm hosting. Bi Guys do you want to to meet me for some bi fun. TVs at least I can usually figure out and decide whether I'm interested, same with couples. So many I just think why, (usually reply that too).

"Hate winks I think they are pointless, if you cant be arsed to type a message then I would hate to see how lazy you are in the bedroom "

That's pretty much my standpoint on wanks, ... sorry, winks.

How long does it really take to tap out a two or three line message - even if it's just to say (like I do often) 'Not looking to meet, but just wanted to compliment you on your pics/profile' and then add something specific to show I HAVE read the profile.

Not difficult, is it? Well? Is it..?

A winked-out ted.

Not too far away

Isnt a wink just to show interest?

I receive quite lengthy messages obviously well thought out, but I don't find the guy attractive. Therefore he has wasted his time and effort. With a wink, I simply wink back if I like them. Saves time. I don't see it as lazy, just a quick judge as to whether you like each other.

Just ignore the feature if you don't use it. I personnally love it.

Who knows? As far as I know, it isn't in black and white anywhere on here what a wink is for? Just find it the height of laziness.

"You can just ignore the ones of no interest?

Maybe its a subtle way of getting your attention, without hassling you too much, hoping you may respond. Each to their own but its certainly not one of life's great vexations to receive one in my opinion.

It's a service that Fab offers, some will choose to use it, others will choose not to.

I find it can be handy, if you're winked and like the look of the wink sender then wink back, then they can initiate conversation.

If you choose to not use, then simply ignore.

If you don't like them ignore them its not as if you even have to look at them

I prefer them to messages sometimes, shows a little interest I can follow up on if I want to,without having an inbox of messages that people have taken the time to write and im likely not going to be able to respond to

I like a nice wink, I see it as an opener. If I like look will either wink back or send a message. It's very easy just to completely ignore them if not your thing.

Winks are ideal for if you visit a profile and you're not sure if you're quite what they seek, say one year out of their age range.

You wink, they see it, if they like they wink back offering you the chance to step up with a message.

That way there's less messages deleted, less unwanted messages.

It's worked for me, both me winking first and being the receiver of the wink.

I managed to ignore the ones that held no interest.

Why send a well thought out message only to have it deleted out of hand or kept 'on file' with no response for days when a wink works just as well. Well, it has for me!

To be honest we don't take any notice of winks from single guys, sorry just too many! Winks from couples n single gals will get checked though. Sorry but with so many of you out there messaging single guys need to send a good message with a face pic to get a response. Sounds harsh but have found you have to be a little hard on here lol x

Exactly my strategy. Also a couple of times I've sent a detailed well thought out message to people who've winked ...only for it to be deleted lol
