Is it just me or the fact that this is a free site that a large number of members on here are very rude? I get quite a few messages and even if its not what I'm looking for I send a polite no thank you. I find some people very frustrating lol.

As it stayed in the sites FAQ it is no rude not to reply. Yes some people choose to send no thanks. I used to but got fed up of grief and why not replies so I don't any more. Just take a no reply as a no thanks.

Personally I'd rather that than log on to see half a dozen messages in my inbox turning me down!

I come online to use forums mostly so the 184 unread messages will have to wait until I feel like replying.

A lot will be from people who haven't read our profile and a fair few others will be from people who have but fancy chancing their luck in case we actually do want to meet people like them - even though we have stated we don't.

Everyone uses the site as they wish. If the rules change and we have to reply to messages we'll be outta here

We get lots of messages but soon filter through them, the main thing it states on our profile is no face pic no reply so that gets rid of 70% of them. We then reply to the others as and when we get chance, even if it is a no thanks but not always the minute we have read the message as often it is the male half who looks in the day then we look together on an evening so instant rplies do not always happen. It can be quite time consuming though so we understand why some people do not bother.

Rude? Ignore it!

I don't get loads of messages, but those that haven't read my profile are immediately apparent and they get deleted and blocked...anyone else gets either a personal response if their face pic tickles my fancy or my stock thanks but no thanks message. I've only ever had one semi-abusive reply to that when I relaxed my rules and replied to a good looking guy who hadn't read my profile (shallow, moi?) and he came back with something along the lines of he had no intentions of reading War & Peace to get a shag

Yeah that was the funny bit, but the rest of the message would have had you pressing the block button!
