I have had a msg of a young guy (20) who has a pic on profile that is just too good to be true

I have chatted and eventually spoke to him on the fone, but his voice sounded like he was about 40 and he was so confident in what he would do and how he would deff make me squirt n gush (which ive only ever done once)

he wants to meet us

I have asked for more pics, but no answer yet

should my alarm bells be sounding very loud??

No! He sounded like he was 40? Tell me, what does a 40 yo sound like? Could the differences in voice be down to genetics rather than age?

Go with the flow and see how it pans out. Obviously, take all the security measures as you should on every meet though.

Seen one particular male pic used on here (for someone we did actually meet) that bore no relevance to him in real life.

Then found the same pic, on a friend's dating website, for a guy in a different part of the country/different age.

Def gets alarm bells ringing, if it looks too good to be true it usually is

Still amazes us how many people don't have pics up or won't send any , we like phone verification as well but even then people are wary !! Suppose everyone is different but the fakes make life frustrating for all genuine fabbers

Even verified can be fake like a guy I had on my friends list. He was claiming all the pictures were him and the women he'd had sex except I knew he was lying.....

One of the pictures was of me but it certainly wasn't him with me!

OP: Ask him to meet you in one of Fab's Chatrooms, with his webcam on. Like pictures, webcams can be faked (e.g. by playing a video), but if you ask him to do something (like scratch his right ear with his left hand), you can be more confident that it is him.

If he says "I have no webcam", or "it's broken", or "I don't want everyone seeing my face because of my job", then I would write him off as a fake.

Well first it means you need to steal his pictures by downloading them... then you have to pump them around the rest of the net by putting them into one of these search engines ..and if he doesn't turn out to be fake - or even if he does ...what does this make you?

You don't have to steal anything. Just copy and paste the web address of the photo into the search bar. And he was fake. I've checked

I'm sure all of those camera apps are good as well ... but for some of them (at least), you need to give a phone number or site address, and she might not want to do that.

Whereas, since they already met through Fab, they can use the Fab chatrooms without disclosing any more personal details.

You wonder why they bother with the fake images when you can reverse check them and its easy to do. What ive been finding is they upload the fake, get caught and have it removed and then 1hr later they have re-uploaded it again

Although I haveto admit its bloody hilarious when they message you and you can wind them up when you find out their fake lol I remember I once messaged a guy who had asked for a meet and I told him whenever he finds out the address of the guy that's actually in the pic and ill meet him... needless to say that message got me blocked, surprise surpise lol

I always say, go with your gut instincts. if you have picked up on something that is not right go with it. However if it is because you think it is to good to be true, meet in a safe public place and see how you get on. there are 1000's of blokes on this site, so there is a high possibility, that you can find exactly what you are looking for. good luck with it all

You could always check out potential fakes using one of the other cam programs referred to earlier in the thread, MsmoodymooBSE. Or even better Download the Puffin Browser, so that you can VIEW cams in Chat, and get the potential fake to turn his cam on. If he's genuine but you just don't fancy him, you can say "my cam won't work"

But in all seriousness, men on here far outweigh the women (genuine women, that is!), so the genuine women are able to pick and choose from all the offers they get. But if any man gets an offer from a woman they have doubts about, then yes, of course the man can insist on seeing the lady on cam first.

Yup, you're definitely right, that most of the fake accounts are (probably)female/couples accounts. If in any doubt, ask to see on cam, first. In fact, use all the tools which you have, to ensure that the person you're in contact with is genuine.

I suppose my point really is .... genuine women/couples get far more offers than single guys do. So they can afford to pass on a 'possibly dodgy' offer, knowing that there are many other alternatives.

In fact, I've talked myself round to your point of view! MEN - if a 'woman' approaches you, ask to see her on cam, to ensure she is a woman!
