false meets

How do people feel about false meet adverts mainly with clubs, certain people going to be there and play, then not being there or just not playing, it puts me off. Yeah ok I know clubs need to get as much revenue as possible and have to attract custom, what do you think offputting or ok.

We usually put a message on our profile if we're going. Are you talking about that kind of thing? If so maybe people change their mind and can't make it.

As for not playing - people pick and choose who to play with in clubs. Why would you expect a guaranteed shag?

Ah the ol bait and switch....of course that would be irritating but its pretty easy to spot. I would assume a women who announced that she would be at a club and ask for you to join without trying to chat you up a bit first is fake. Maybe not all but most real women wouldn't do that. It just doesn't happen sorry.

bi couple notts, no I certainly don't expect a shag that's not my point, although some people advertise saying they want to meet and have loads of fun, then don't play with anyone at all. And the changing mind bit I understand but the ones I mean advertise every week often 3 or 4 times but are quite often not there and its just to see if people find it irritating I never expect a shag its not right.

When I'm horny and going to a club I sometimes post a meet request asking for tall, fit, muscular men to attend (my preferred type).

It's amazing how many messages I get from short, fat men in reply.

And even when I get there and the club is filled with my type (I wish!) if you don't get my juices flowing in the flesh then I won't be playing. So tall, fit,muscular, heavy smokers, with terrible teeth, poor hygiene and no manners will not be getting any.

If you know they're fake then whats the problem? Avoid them and the club and you'll save some time. Also might be an idea to report the messages if you're getting that wound up about them.

Its clubs touting for business. You only have to read the meets section then read the reviews on the clubs section and you will find the same people either listing a meet then in reviews posting many times about how great the club is. Probably staff or friends of the owners

Guess that would depend on if i enjoyed myself anyway. We would more than likely go with a few others that we know we get along with already so the night wouldn't be a total bust if we didnt connect with anyway.

If we say we are going 99% of the time we do and I can even tell you I did my bit for you single guys on Sunday night just gone

Maybe this is just some clubs that do this as we've never noticed what you're saying. What do the club themselves say?

I've seen meets posted like that and I've often thought this is clubs postin meets to try and get people to go.

A few of the Manchester clubs have them every day it seems

Haven't really noticed but can't see it being a problem - we never have expectations before going to a club - just go with the flow. Z

I'd say that invites my opinion.

My opinion is that it's no more irritating than this thread.

Nobody likes these meet listings that seem to be no more than adverts for clubs, but nobody is going to do anything about it either, are they ?

If you don't like my opinion, that's your tough luck. I'll offer it as & when it suits me.

Personally I don't pay much attention to those posts. If I'm going to a club it tends to be with company and because I want to visit that particular club.

I wouldn't make a special trip just because a meet post said someone in particular was going.

As for reviews - yes you see repeat posters - but if they're club regulars why shouldn't they? And if they're regulars that enjoy the club then of course they'll leave positive reviews!

I've put posts up before (one up at the moment for Friday with my FB) but if anyone saw one and turned up expecting me or us to play with no prior contact then they'd be more than likely disappointed!! Like everything on site - it's all down to personal choice and preferences!!

There should be no expectation of anything when you go to a club,of course they're going to do their best to drum up business,it may be jam packed full it still does'nt mean you'll get a leg over,the person the club is adbertising as being there and playing still has a right to say no

If you want guaranteed sex then go to a brothel

The BEST clubs and the most POPULATED clubs dont need others to drum up business for them or for them to do it themselves, because people know about them already.

I am not sure why you re getting told sex isn't a sure thing as I see a question of is this a drum up buisness type meet for clubs.

To the OP...yes I think this is exactly what some may be doing and if I had spent time chatting to someone with the intention of meeting with a view to play I would be pissed off if they were not there either.

People advertise they're going to clubs all the time - but it's still up to them if they play or not.

If - however - you've personally been chatting and they've indicated that they'd like to meet/play with you - then as Ruggers says, it's understandably frustrating and quite rude if they just don't turn up. But as with all meets - I guess these things happen at times. The joy of clubs is that there's often plenty of others there to enjoy time with, even if its just socially - and great for networking!!

there are many people with posts about when they are going to chameleons or la Chambre .. I think it's more to do with people wanting to get people they want to play with there.

I know that's what I do... I only meet single guys at clubs... So I just tell them where I will be but I make it clear it doesn't mean I will play with them.

I answered as I do promote some clubs events.. but if I do that I make it clear that it's a club advert.. not a personal meet for me..

To be fair, the responses were there before he had posted a second time...plus he did say he understood the changing mind thing.

I thought he was meaning more the "luring" of men to pay to get into a club on the promise of meeting for possible sex and the people not even being there.

thanks for all the replies and yes I was referring to the luring men in, just thought it was a decent topic to discuss and wanted some thoughts, obviously one person thought the thread to be boring but hey ho tomorrow is another day and I guess they will be picking bones out of another thread starter, but without people strating threads there would be nothing on here to comment on.

But surely wouldn't that be up to you? if you go to a function outside of swinging on your own, do you make an effort to get to know the people there, make conversation, see what things you have in common with them? because that's what we do...

I think that's why people often do what it seems the OP is complaining about. We often do before we go to a party or club...put it on our status or a meet listing and see if people get in touch so we have at least made a few connections before we go, with no guarantees or see who of our friends are going to be there...
