Do you ever read a profile and think 'they sound like to much hard work' and refrain from messaging them, or do you give it a go regardless?? I think this thread will probably only apply to single guys

Yes many times, usually with other couples, maybe because there's 2 people usually looking for 2 people there are a lot more parameters/obstacles in play lol.

Sometimes we've spent 5 minutes reading a profile only to think... far too much mither!!

I personally like a challenge but I do think that a lot of the profiles on here say what they are after clearly.

But it's easier to be informative and concise, some profiles just waffle crap and never get to the point

I've probably got one of these 'hard work' profiles but it's better that way than people who I'd not consider meeting, wasting their time and mine by messaging.

Of course some do anyway but heyho

I find the opposite - the ones who have one line only in their profiles are going to be far too much hard work for me to find out what they actually want.

As soon as we read a profile with a list of do's and dont's and ones that just give of the vibe that sex with them would be so robotic we tend to just pass

We understand that everybody has some do's and dont's ( trying to think what ours are?)

But we find some profiles far too restrictive with endless rules

Really!!! My profile has nothing on it. Yet I have no bother with meets.

I find a nice mail can dojust as well

me to a one liner profile makes me think this person is not genuine or has no idea what they want, I prefer something that takes a bit of time to read as a bit of effort has gone into it.

MissD

Yes...some profiles come across as really aggressive or needy which puts us off.

Yes some profiles are like a test to pass.we all have do, s and don'ts but this is about fun . Some profiles we read come across as arrogant and very fussy us being old fat and ugly can't afford to be too fussy

Think it's time I went looking at some profiles

Most of those I've read say, new here (Over a year ago) Looking for fun, will try anything once and naff all else

I do wonder if that includes mowing my lawn

Have thought this on reading a few profiles, specially ones that use words like 'consider' and 'apply'. Sounds like an intervieview and a massive superiority complex.

yes the try anything once brigade makes me cringe. Quite happy to cut grass, there's lots of us on here who will never meet & have sex on here !

I bet my profile triggered this thread! I know my profile is hard work to get through and seems very 'want want want' but lets be honest the profiles that read 'looking for NSA sex with anyone' is equally if not more off putting.

Quite frankly if it puts off those that refuse to put in any effort... its doing what it says on the tin

If you read a profile and you think ...."I cant be arsed" then surely the profile has served its purpose. On my previous profile I had exactly what I was looking for... in no uncertain terms. It probably put some people off but then if it did...they weren't for me anyway. If I look at a profile and its 1 or 2 lines long ( as mine is at the moment) I tend to think if you haven't put that much effort into your profile what effort would you be applying in other areas. Swinging is the same as a lot of other things. Variety makes it much more interesting. Sure....people aren't going to meet and fook every one ( with the odd exception) but surely that's part of what swinging is about? finding someone that makes you feel xxx

Brighton

surely the point of a profile is to communicate your needs/wants in a friendly manner, not to bark orders like a member of the gestapo ?

i've been trying for months to make my profile seem less like being caught in the crossfire between two machine guns, but to no avail - presumably, others have a similar (but far greater!) problem.
