Just lately i have seriously wondered whether it is worth bothering with this site as a single guy. Just messaged someone, they sent back a polite msg saying i wasn't their type, so i tried to send a msg thanking them for having the decency to reply only to find they had blocked me! Don't know about anyone else but i think it is quite a strong message when you block someone? Normally i only block people that have been abusive etc

i always reply even if the guy isnt my type, unless its crude, usually this prompts a reply such as "thanx for replying and not just ignoring me" id never block some one for messaging me just because they werent my type...

If we've turned someone down, we automatically block them.

What you have to remember is that there is a strong element of the idiot single men on here and they will try again and again and again and again, or just don't get the hint. They sometimes turn abusive.

It's far easier to block someone who we will never play with.

Unfortunately, for the nice single men, its a brush that they all get tarred with.

People can block anyone whenever they choose and for whatever reason they choose, that is why the site gives everyone, you included, the facility to do so

You mention 'this site' in your opening post. It isn't just 'this site', you'll find every site to be the same, no matter what.

Don't let it bother you, don't even work up a sweat, just accept the fact that they've blocked you, don't take it as a personal snub and move on to the next one.

The only person who will suffer by getting all het up about it is you

Go have a read of the "Offensive Messages" thread that was started earlier today.

That will give you a very very good inkling as to why folk act in the manner that has peeved you, not every one does rejection well

We very, very seldom contact anyone, if, however, other's show an interest in us and contact us we always reply, if their what we're looking for we always include a face pic, if they fail to reply even if it's a “Thanks, but no thanks” we then ALWAYS block them! This is to prevent any confusion should they innocently try and contact us again in the future

the above covers most we'd want to say; just we give them rope to hang themselves with in that if they try asking again [often a week or 2 later with no memory that they'd mailed us before] thats when we use the infamous block button

not much you can do about

but just move on to the next one

patience is the key it takes time to arrange a meet or even speak 2 some 1 u like there is plenty more out there

If the person who has contacted me is "not my type" I also block as this prevents further contact which, I've found through experience happens quite frequently.

I have read this and reread this several times now..

and not quite sure if you are being cheeky or tongue in cheek..

in any case, I will draw your attention to a post made several weeks ago about someone being nervous on meets and erectile issues occurring.. and I believe the answers given were not the same old, same old but very kind, sensitive and inclusive advice..

It saves the hastle to be honest.

If I respond with a "no thank you" I expect that to be the end of it but no, you then get replies back often trying to get you to change your mind. I can't be arsed so I block, some I delete without opening: for example I have no interest in what a 19 year old has to say!!

There had been times when I wish I had replid and blocked, instead of prolonging the agony of having to reply to further messages after I had said a polite no thank you or I am not looking etc...

I've just had the same message (and joke) from a guy three times in the last week

I politely told him that the joke was good, but not as funny as the first two times he told it

He came back and said he thought he'd sent it three times.

I pointed out that including the last one he had.

I don't want to be rude, but shows that sometimes to block is the only solution.

Well let's see if I get it a fourth time lol

The people who swear that friendship is just as important as fun probably have the biggest block lists.

Never understood the whole block mentality, especially if the sender is polite, wonder if these same people would ignore people at social gatherings simply because they’re not their type?

Some people take this swinging malarkey far to seriously

To the OP they blocked you because they have no need of any further contact with you

They replied politely and as far as they're concerned that was the end of it

It was'nt done to be rude because it would have easier to delete your message and block you there and then with no reply if you wer'nt what they were looking for

Just read it and I cannot reply due to the thread being closed.

As has been said by other peeps, not everyone can accept rejection with grace.

In the past, I tried to let peeps down gently, instead saying they do not tickle my fancy, I said I was not looking for more playmates instead.

Peeps would then continue to contact me thinking they still have a chance.

In the end, I had to be brutal and tell them they did not tickle my fancy in many ways.

Nowadays, I tell peeps straight away if they do not tickle my fancy.

Honesty is the best option IMHO, and it suits me well, as I am not a naturally diplomatic person!

Some people deserve the block button

Those who “think” their above everyone else, those who are disrespectful towards other members by referring to them publicly in a derogatory manner, etc., etc., we certainly wouldn't chose to be associated with such peeps, therefore blocking them prevents us having to reply should they be tempted to contact us

Maybe the people that the OP mailed have found that blocking people that they know they won't meet makes life easier for them

At least they gave him a polite refusal which is one of the biggest bug bares from people on here

Dont see the point in being fake what you see is what you get. Only thing thats changed is much more confident with in myself and a whole lot more sexually active which is a good thing, happy and confident with my own curvy body and all the benifits of swinging is good, good, good. Learnt a lot about playing and playing safe.

oh and it was not aimed at you, i agree that the response i got to my erectile issue was superb and i really appreciated everyone who contributed.

However I have noticed it seems that some peoples replies to some threads seem a bit insensitive with a 'get on with it' attitude.

Also i was grumpy earlier lol but i have chilled out now

Personally i think the people in the OPs post is a bit rude, i can see no reason at all for blocking someone just for asking for a meet, to me someone not being my type is not a blocking offense

but hey hoo life goes on i think a lot of women and couples loose the respect for men as people just because theres so many of them, and the fact they get so many messages goes to their head a bit, but does not mean we have the rights to dis respect their feelings

only my opinion tho

Maybe they gave you a nice polite reply, but as they know you are not what they are looking for maybe it is easier to block you rather than reply to any more mails from you.

I am not saying this is what you do but we do get the same mails from people every few weeks, maybe it is just to stop that.

Whatever reason it is, the blocks are there for people to use however they wish.

On a different note ,I am still puzzled to which thread swingershaz is answering?
