Is the guy on here? I do hope not!

Recovering alcoholic is better than an alcoholic and really don't understand what his daughters sexuality has to do with it

I say ....how brave for him to tell you. Even though he may not have been a match for you...takes some courage to be honest about your past with a stranger.

This. None of that would put me off if I liked him and he was nice.

This has happened to me with a first time meet, him telling me all sorts of personal problems, I am a nice caring sort but surely for a first meet this is not appropriate isn't that what friends are for not meets.

Lol why do people do this! The nature of site Fab is is that we're here for a good time and some fun, unburdoning your life's problems on a first meet on an unsuspecting person probably who had some sexy thoughts prior to the meet is just going to kill the mood!

Good luck to him, anyway

What has his daughter's sexuality got to do with him being a good or bad meet?

If he is a reformed alcoholic, it showed he had done something about getting himself out of the rut, which is a positive in my book.

I don't like to meet smokers, therefore, I would have declined him on his 40 a day habit alone.

However, I would have found that out BEFORE I would agree to meet him, even if it is just for a social meet!

Sometime you just need to offload problems to strangers to get off your chest as long he was not rude or aggressive it would not bother me.

Being a recovering alkie takes some doing in first place so he must have something in his favour. Fact he had licence taken off him in for i assume drink driving worries me ad i firmly believe drink driving should mean life ban as they could kill someone.

I'm here for uncomplicated hedonistic fun with sane people.

If potential playmates see me as Dr Phil, AA, or a support worker from the LGBT Network then it's a no from me!

personally id respect him for the fact he was a recovering alcoholic, anyone can hit hard times but it takes a real man, or woman, to realise they have a problem and work on getting better

his daughter bats for the other side? seriously so what?

ermmm this was a first meet did i really wanna know all that .....NOPE....as for his daughter i dont care what she does i was just repeating what he said ....i wish people would read messages before jumping the gun .....i asked if youd find it a turn or or not to sit n listen to the downfalls of a complete stranger rather than sexy small talk and sneeky flashes of body parts

In all fairness it would depend on the context of the whole conversation. But being a recovering alcoholic in its self would not be a turn off

I met someone too in a pub who is also a former alcoholic, 2 years later we are still friends

As to the daughter, that has no bearing on whether you want to meet him again or not unless you are homophobic.

And if he is on here, I hope he doesn't see this post
