ive always wondered why so many single fems joined a swinging site when there are so many dating sites about.

please in now way are we complaining, its great that so many single fems are on here.

so why did you join a swinging site if you are a single fem??

I didn't find what I was looking for on the dating site and didn't want to miss out on sex any more.

I started on POF with the intention of dating about a year ago, changed to "intimate encounter" when I realised I actually don't want to date. But that's problematic. However, there's a much better scope of experience to be had on Fab. I like it a lot

I tried dating. Hard to explain on a dating site that you are bi-sexual and aren't really keen on the idea of monogamy. For most men, it's a great idea for a temporary thing, but many won't entertain the idea of a long term relationship with that criteria.

So I swing as a single fem, I get what I want, when I want it (mostly) and I don't have to answer to anyone who wants to know why I'm not answering my phone, or why dinner isn't on the table.

Dating sites and fab ate two completely different things and gender doesn't come into it. I'm here because I line the swinging lifestyle, if I met a great guy and want something more, great but I'm not here looking for that. By the tone of the OP it seems he thinks all the women here are using fab as a dating site!

I joined after breaking up with my most recent boyfriend.

I like sex but was not looking for a relationship. But now I have discovered the sex I have from meeting guys on here is so much better than a d*unken fumble.

Without fab I would have never discovered my wand and that I can gush.

I like sex and lots of it, having it with a few partners is a bonus as no boyfriend has ever been able to match my sex drive. Having more than one means that at least one is horny when I am - bonus!!!

. Also the guys tend not to become emotionally attached, which I found is not the case with guys I meet out!

I wasn't looking for a partner per se, I initially joined an adult dating site. However I found it no different to match.com, men were looking for exclusive relationships and doing lovey dovey stuff.

Here, people generally recognise there's no exclusivity. That said some do get a little territorial...but easily dealt with.

This is a site where people hook up for sex without any attachments. A dating site is where people are looking for a relationship. So, that's the answer.

How about asking the question - this is a swinging site so why are there so many single men on here when there are so many dating sites about?

Multiple sexual partners aside, I cannot live with another person, or have the time and energy to invest in a full blown relationship.

I don't feel the need to be someone's emotional crutch as I have often found in traditional relationships.

I used to be on a dating site when a guy I had a meet with suggested this site as I was looking for the friendship side as well as the sex which I wasn't getting from the dating site. I joined and have never looked back. I've made some fab friends, had great 'friendly' sex and now engaged to my soul mate, swinging itself has taken a back burner but I wouldn't even think of leaving fab.

I originally joined as a single f as I wanted to meet other bi women to have fun with. It was a side of me that I had suppressed for some time due to ex's and decided to take the plunge for me when I became single. The best decision I made as I have fully embraced that side of me and also met someone who accepts me for who I am.

I originally joined a dating site and put that I wasn't looking for anything serious just fun. I was open and honest about what I was looking for. Unfortunately a high percentage of people bullshit to get what they want. Not saying that fab is bullshitter free but more people are honest about what they want.

I can easily tell you why I'm on fab and not a vanilla dating site.

Vanilla dating sites are for those who are looking for a partner - a boyfriend or girlfriend.

Fab is for people who don't want that but still want and enjoy sex but don't want the relationship with it.

I am single because I want to be. I am not looking for a relationship as I simply don't want one - I am not good at them anyway. I prefer being single - I don't even think I could live with anyone. I like my own space and don't like sharing it. I don't even like sharing my bed (regularly that is).

But I like sex, I have a high sex drive and just because I don't want a boyfriend or husband doesn't mean I should live like a nun.
