Given the thread about consent I thought I would start this thread to get people’s opinions.

I (Belle) always feel I need to have a few drinks before I feel comfortable either at a swingers club or playing on a meet. I can’t think of a time I’ve done it cold stone sober. I’m body conscious but also just really shy when it comes to sex thats not with my partner.

I’ve not done anything I have since regretted and alcohol does give me more confidence and makes me hornier but given the current threads talking about you can’t give consent if tipsy then what does this mean for everyone who has booze before play?

Does this mean if I can’t do it sober that I should reconsider if this is for me?

I personally can’t see any issue with a few drinks, obviously someone who is d*unk is a different situation altogether. As ever all parties involved need to be relaxed safe and consenting if a few beverages have been taken and that makes you more comfortable and confident I say go for it.

BTW you certainly don’t need to be body conscious, you are stunning. X

Few glasses of wine or a few Bacardi’s , enough to be tipsy but not ‘ off my face ‘

I guess the "tipsy" part would put a few off but most don't seem bothered by it....I don't think you have anything to worry about x

We would avoid someone who's had more than two drinks. The main problem is we can't tell the difference between the person who just needs it to give them the confidence to do something they really want and the person who needs it to do something they don't want.

We met a couple for a social and the woman had 12 vodkas, some of them were doubles. Her partner refused to go to the bar in the end. If she needed that many just to talk to us lord alone knows what would have happened if we'd taken it further

For me personally — I won't engage with anyone who requires alcohol as a form of reliance ('wingman' or 'moral support') as a prelude to a sexual encounter.

I'm happy to engage in libations for a social or a date, for general enjoyment that may or may not lead to sex.

We rarely drink at clubs. Been known to take zero alcohol cans with us but these days just buy the soft drinks.

On Saturday at Attic M and I were discussing drinks and a helpful regular turned round and said “oh you have to bring your own, you didn’t bring any”. Then we explained that we would only be drinking whatever the soft drink options were.

One is when playing kink it’s better to be in control of senses

But someone who has obviously had a few too many will give both of us the ick.

I (Mr) can take it or leave it, most of the time I am driving however Mrs does enjoy a glass of wine to calm the nerves , it just relaxes her a little more x
