Name dropping

When someone says something like "so and so said we should meet up" or "I hear you've met x and they think we should meet". do they think it increases the chance of meeting ? Or do you think name dropping has the opposite effect? Just curious as at the moment we seem to be getting it a lot and wondered what you lovely guys and gals on the forum thought

People will always check veri's and look into your past meets if visible. You may also find yourself getting involved in 'networking' at clubs and being introduced to new people by existing friends.

To me - both of those are fine!

If someone suggested by message that just because i'd met someone that they had too, that we should meet - i'd still use my usual common sense approach and make my own mind up.

And if someone I know wanted to make a 'referral' to someone else i'd hope they'd check with me first. I've no issue with people mentioning me in general terms in conversation with others - would be naive of anyone to think everyone's as discreet as eachother - but would be nice to think they'd not be discussing gory details and specifics about meets!

We have no problem with chitchat, as well let's face it swinging is all about networking and in such a small (minority group I guess ) were all bound to meet someone who knows someone else ( especially if you tend to keep meets local) it just makes you wonder if they've chatted about the details

It just makes you wonder if they have recommended you is that a good thing or bad?

There's no need for it, I was chatting with Angelina Jolie during a threesome I was having with me, her and Brad Pitt the other day and we were saying no-ones impressed by it at all

When we first started swinging, we met a couple on a Friday night, who complained bitterly about another couple. That Saturday, we met another couple and yes, you can see where this is leading, they complained to high heaven about this couple they had met recently, the same couple who had complained about them. They then proceeded to rubbish a third couple, who we met on the Wednesday night. We only realised that they were the 3rd couple when we walked through their door to find no carpets and a very strong smell. No idea what the smell was, but we ended up bailing after an hour.

Has opposite affect for me, got a message last night from a guy saying met and had fun with X on your friends list, thought we could have fun to, answer was no thanks lol

I think it depends in what context if its face to face in a club in a positive manner then no problem at all, but if it's bitching or moaning then no it puts me off .

Face to face can be fine especially in clubs as it gives you common ground , but I'm more talking about messages on here just saying things like been talking. To x and they said we should meet ( although I'm guessing if they are suggesting us to people its a good thing .....)

If it's positive I have no problem with it if it's negative then no it's just gossip
