Hi everyone, I'm just asking for some advice, I'm setting up a telegram to talk with people on here, when I was on here a while back I used Kim, but that's old hat now.

Is there anything I need to do to from a privacy perspective to stop friends from finding my telegram etc.

Any help would be appreciated.

Let me know if this isn't the correct forum to put this down on.

I use a separate sim card so its in no way linked to the contacts from my regular life.

Always check privacy settings so that your phone number isn't shared.

You don't need a profile pic showing your face.

As soon as you sign up, everyone in your contacts that has telegram, will get a notification. I signed up and got some random messages from people in my phonebook. It was all a bit odd

Make sure you set up your phone number as not visible to anyone. Unless you want to be discoverable by the phone number connected to the app instead of just your username.

We've been doing that for years since my besties cousin popped up!
