Ok this may have been said millions of times before, but do other couples get as sick as us when single guys just do not pay attention to what is written on our profile??

No we don't want to block all singles, but it's getting to that point these days.

Come on lads......put some time and effort into it!

i guess lots of single guys just send message to every profile they see, as many message more chances to get a meet, i guess

It ain't just you couples that get it. I've hada single guy just mail me - 'can you accom ' ffs it SAYS SO on the bloody profile grrrrr!

its not just single guys who dont read a lot of couples dont either. on the couples profile we have its a common thing to get mail from non readers

Problem has increased manyfold since the HUGE influx of mobile users. Takes time and patience to load up a profile and read it. Most don't seem to bother.

Even more fustrating is when they write having obviously not bothered to read the profile they then want to argue the toss when you say no.

Clearly its unfair to accuse every single guy of not reading profiles but there is a very large minority.

I've had messages from single men/single woman and couples that blatantly haven't even read the first line of my profile. Prob just seems worse for the single guys because there is more of them on here.

Yes, we get it all the time too. We clearly state many things on our profile such as not meeting people who cheat, not wanting one-liners, or messages from people without a face-pic in the profile or message.

We still continue to receive (and delete) said messages.

Its the same people who also rant on their status updates saying that they are sick of timewassters and is anyone real on this site......

Well surely if it's taking time to upload ya may as well read the whole darn thing. If I look at a profile I read it two or three times n prob look at photos twice n double check the interests, smokers stuff, travel/accom etc. It don't take thay long to do! Ugh

I read the profiles, don't send messages to people for whom I would be unsuitable (for several reasons) but I would say that less than half bother to reply to those I do send, and some don't even read the messages. Thank goodness for the polite few.

I get more messages from couples who have not read my profile, than I do with single men! Yea quite a few men don't read it and send ridiculous one liners, but the couples are just as guilty!

I think that may well b true! They see you are online n dash off a short message in case u r about to log off!

Usually I'm in the forums or tweaking my profile cos I NEVER browse (I only look at who looks at me or the occasional poster on here)

So as long as they read it and message me it doesn't matter if they are what I'm looking for?? I should reply?? Feel free to try and reply to my 323 messages .... It's impossible as when you reply you get more back

as a single guy it is hard and they play the numbers games just like code calling

i would advise them to go clubs but then there will be millions of guys there looking like a pack of wolves

i do think admin should put a restriction on how many messages they can send a give a bonus to the ones that are genuine ie polite on chat ... actually meet someone etc

How would a written agreement work exactly on a website? And who/how would this be policed. What you're saying is that those with hundreds of messages to get through would be MADE to read every single damn one just to see if they've read the profile, and perhaps reply to one or two, or risk being banned from site because people like you can't get over not getting a reply?

Is that right? Sounds stupid to me. I'd like the "sent mail" function to disappear as people just sit there looking to see if their mail has been read and get stroppy when they see it has but no reply is forthcoming.

Man up, move on.

The only really nasty reply to a no thanks from us was from a couple. Luckily we found it funny and they got so annoyed with us they blocked us

Funniest ones were the messages I got when I had my singles account. It was hidden and all the pictures moved into private folder but I'd still get "Hi, you look/sound nice!"

As a single guy it's not hard, I just on search click the box that says font include those who don't want single guys, and tick the box saying you must meet their age range

Then instantly the results are filtered to those potentially interested in you and it gives you more time to read the profiles in more detail knowing you maybe suitable for them

I do like to read about someone before I message but by the time you have read the profile, sent a detailed message, the person or persons your messaging have usually gone offline then don't read your message.

I say we need more winking that way we not wasting time writing crap that doesn't get read!

We get messages all the time when our profiles states we are not looking for single guys. We get people thinking they can change our mind.

It's no biggie to be honest as on the whole they are always polite. We don't block them as its quite nice to have options for any future "projects"

I too read all the profile, for me it is important that I at least get a flavour of what the people are looking for and tailor my message accordingly. Although a lot of people on the site don't bother to read anybody's profile but that soon shows in their message.

Yeah, I get annoyed when a couple just messages me out of the blue because the wife is horny and I'm expected to get across London to Zone 6 in 40 minutes to meet her, despite the fact I don't know them, they're not on my friends list and the first message is requesting the meet that I could only make if I had a rocket tied to my back.

What I've discovered on this site is that each "group" have their flaws. Single guys are targeted because they're so many of us trying to stand out so getting through our mails would be tedious for people and patience will wear thin. But the other groups can be just as crude but of course, who gives a monkey's what a single male thinks!
