Ok - question to consider....'Is the flowing 'timewasting'?

I sent a very genuine reply to a north east couple who were verified and were inviting messages from single guys. I ticked all their boxes and replied with an individula message including pics.

Thye replied asking if I used msn - so I sent my msn address - and they added me (I have same face pic on there as I sent them, so they know its me).

I saw them on msn a few times and each time said hello, and the either didn't reply and then vanished.

I sent another message to their profile asking why thye would do this - the message hasn't been read despite them logging in regularly.

So - what do you all think? Despite being verified, is this still 'time-wasting'?

I'm not putting their details on here so its not a 'name n shame' - but I'd like thoughts on whether this should be reported or not?

Its not time wasting as every one has the ability to choose to reject someone at any point. Circumstances change and at other times people get better offers so as to speak. Like others have said move on its just life. What you have is a touch of frustration as you I think feel you put time into them. Smile and contact another if I was you and good luck.

Thanks for the feed back - I've been meeting people over long period of time and never have a problem with people meeting/not meeting - I don't think I have made myself clear in my posting....

..... a non-response initially is fine....a change of mind is fine...a 'rejection' is fine - don't have an issue with any of these ....the question I asked was......is it 'time-wasting' to start communication, invite further correspondance and information, THEN cut all contact and leave someone adrift?

But I'm bored with the question now lol

We get our timewasted all the time

It really doesn't bother us we have learned that it is part of the lifestyle.

Timewasting to us includes the simple act of mailing or winking us when we are not what they are looking for or they are outside our profile criteria, ie those who "wont meet smokers" or whose age limits I am outside since we wont meet people whose criteria we don't meet (cant start a meet if you already feel uncomfortable about it)

So yes they are wasting our time as we have to read thier mail and then reply, but that said, it's 2 minutes and nothing to get hot n bothered about (even if 2 mins 20 times a day adds up lol)

i actually dont see that as time wasting, what time have they wasted the 15 seconds it took you to add them to msn? to me a time waster is someone who arranged a meet with no intention of showing, talking on the net and it coming to nothing, or in your case not talking on the net and it coming to nothing, to me isnt time wasting

when you say they was verified was any of them in person? just wondering as you asked if they was desparate to be verifed and they not going to get that if they dont meet anyone are they?

I don't think its time wasting at all,they obviously changed their minds for whatever reason

But I wonder if had they said hello back the first thing you would have asked was for some sexy pics just like you did with Jed n Sasha?

They have loads of pics on their profile more than enough for you to see exactly what they look like and yet after one post from them on here you're asking for more after just one post

That can be off putting to some people

Like other posters have said just spend you time contacting others and don't worry about the ones that don't want to respond to you

I would say timewasting is when a meeting, couple or single leads you to believe a meeting is on. You make all the arrangements only to find they then do not turn up.

We have even been invited and turned up at a couples house, spent a few hours talking only to be invited back at a later date 'to play' That to us is the ultimate time waste, you have spent time getting ready and travelling only for it not to materialise.

We do like to talk on msn first, you can get a feel for the other people and it soon becomes obvious whether they will or won't. The case above proves this is not always the case

Honeypotcouple - I think the irony of what I said was lost on you a little - There are already LOADS of sexy pics on the profile in question - thats the irony! - the fact that there are so many! Iwasn't actually suggesting that they put some on, because they already have dozens on there. lol

....and to other replies - thanks for the comments - interesteing reading them. I still seam to have failed to get the question across....

I'm not asking if its a poor show to change your mind - yes of course people can and do do this - or to decide they don't want further contact - but to glean information and pictures from someone and then cut contact totally WITHOUT letting the person - thats when I question the time-wasting thing - giving the impression of interest, so time is spent replying etc - but going off the radar without saying.

Anway, I think this has sparked more replies than I was expecting - and although its been good to see the contrasting opinions and points of view in the replies. But I think the topic has run its course now?

How do I get rid? lol

No. They changed their minds about talking to you/ they havn't had time to talk to you/ . It isn't a crime or timewasting.

Getting information from someone who you THINK you might want to meet is a normal cause of action. Do you not do it too?

If they don't want to contact you to say no thanks after all, I would take the hint and move onto the next person/couple.

I think not getting the response you were hoping for is more the reason you want rid of it.

But, as it is your thread, I will shut it.
