men to women ratio

There seems to be a huge mismatch of men to women on here. I know that is great for the ladies, but is also frustrating for us guys.

It is just a fact of demographics but does anyone think anything could be done to even the odds a bit..........

If there was a way to detect the time wasting, fakes and fantasists single males would be great. Then they can all be removed leaving the 5% of genuine guys on here. X

The only way a single male can really 'even the odds' on here is by doing his best to stand out as a guy worth meeting. This means having a well written profile, interacting effectively on the forums, and having good pictures to get yourself noticed. The single male experience on a swingers site will always be a hard climb up a sheer wall, but just like a rock climber, your chances of success vastly improve through experience and effective equipment.

And then you'd detect the timewasting, fake and fantasist couples and females too.... so the ratios wouldnt change too much

Nothing wrong with that. In fact it is a bonus for men as women will want to try plenty of men or will change some lazy or useless men for those who can please them. That give plenty of opportunities to the men who know how to treat a woman.

I think any scheme introduced would make little difference to be honest, I'm genuine - hang on I'll just check, pinch - ouch, yep, but I'd not pay a fee for example

I'm a time waster because after finding out how expensive hotels and trains were to Bristol, I cancelled 3 weeks in advance... so feel free to block or report moi

It does also cause us ladies issues. I doubt there are many ladies who ignore the preferences on someone's profile or gets downright rude when that person declines their offer. There are pro's and con's for everyone on this site, just different one's for females, males and couples.

One of the problems faced by people is that this site is the only medium they use to make this sort of contact. That in itself is limiting.

Ditto, but its not just about getting a meet, its about getting the exact kind of meets you want, and to use my rock climbing analogy again, the more single guys join the site, further and further into the higher precipices those meets are pushed.

The ratio may be greater , i often read of women on here saying they get hundreds of messages , i am not inundated with men as i think my profile is a bit scary and puts a lot off lol... i just like to test their mettle

Thanks for all the advice.

I have had meets on here and while it hasn't been easy to get them, they have been great and memorabke to say the least. I choose not to post verifications as l am looking for discretion and so this may be something l will start doing in order to be more tactile...lol

Oh yeah, equipment works well, as does the computer driving it - think the marketing dept. could do with a revamp though.

I don't think there is any way to limit the number of time wasters on here to be honest. I mean what are you going to do, get them to sign a legal declaration?

Luckily I haven't been stung too badly by timewasters in the past and I think we all just have to accept this as part of the whole game and move on.

If I have to through 100 messages to find that one great genuine guy then so be it. Whatever limititions you put on the site will also out those great ones from the get go, as we all know how intimidating this site can be as a newbie. And we most definitely don't want to scare off those newbies who are indeed fabulous and genuine.

If we all just keep our wits about us and continue to use our own experience to filter out the timewasters we should be fine.
