"I gotta ask.. I know its maybe a self confidence thing... But when someone is commenting on curves are they just calling me fat so saying bits of me are.

Its like 'lines'... I never know how to take that either.. That i should filter images for any skin imperfections maybe

I feel confident for minuites at a time and spend hours mulling over some of the sentances that land in my inbox

So does curves actually mean someone is calling you fat

For you lot that dont care... How do you pull off not caring what people say"

It takes a lot of practice to be able to ignore it, a lot of people will use common imperfections just to hurt you or degrade you. I dont think there's one easy way to get past it.

But honestly, try to not think about it, they wouldn't be messaging you if they didnt want to at least talk

You're getting negged.

People do it to try and bring others down in an attempt to assert power as they're insecure.

It's a problem for them, not you.

Nø. I think there's a clear disassociation when it comes to referring to someone as curvy versus fat. When I've noticed men on the forums commenting on a woman's curves I've always perceived it as a genuine appreciation and not a reference to being fat.

I've only ever seen curves of curvy used in a complimentary way. If anyone wanted to insult they would actually use the word fat.

I only care what people say about me on here if it's threatening. Otherwise I know that the compliments and insults aren't about me as a person, just my image on a screen

Lots of men prefer a curvy woman, myself included. I don't think it's ever ment negatively, I certainly don't mean any offence if mention to a woman that I find her curvaceous body very desirable

Same as posts above, in my mind curvy is a compliment. It is a body type or shape- hour glass for instance, and not about size or weight.

As for caring what others think, only the opinions from people of importance concern me. Wife, children and boss. Yes rude statements from randoms can hurt, but the pain is fleeting and easily forgotten.

Ok i deleted it my filters were shut and my inbox responded before the forum did 🙄

I appreciate the consensus here being it isnt a negative or a covert insult. Because sometimes you really cant tell if it coupled with other squishy, bouncy words 😂 and 'i love all shapes and sizes'

Someone mentioned negged.. A word i havent heard in a long time and bang on. This post is a result of still being off kilter from a fairly manipulative convo i accidently got into and some of the example was from that.

Im gunna stick with trying to summon my own confidence 🤣 and imagine comments as water on a ducks back
