Unexpected rejection

Over the past four days, I’d been having a really good conversation with someone. It flowed naturally—I was polite, a bit flirty, but always respectful. She told me she was attracted to me and genuinely interested, and since we live fairly close to each other, it all felt quite realistic.

We’d already exchanged face pictures and the attraction seemed mutual. Things became a bit more playful, and we shared some more intimate photos, which she said she enjoyed. Overall, it felt like we were building a good rapport and there was potential for something there.

Then, completely out of the blue today, I found I’d been blocked with no explanation.

I understand that’s entirely her prerogative, and I can accept rejection—but it’s the lack of any reason that’s hard to make sense of. Part of me wonders if it was accidental, though I’m not holding out much hope for that

Could have been any reason to be fair. As crap as it is, best not to dwell on it and leave them to it. Plenty more out there seemingly

I’d like to hear a woman’s perspective—curious how it comes across from your side

"What was the profile name?"

I’m not here to name and try to shame them, I’m more respectful than that.

It just happens on here unfortunately. So many fake profiles and time wasters but there’s still so many genuine fabbers on here. Onwards and upwards!

It wasn’t a couple profile, it was a single female, if they was a guy pretending to be a woman then they were very convincing.

It could be a man.

Was the profile photo verified? Although that’s not always a good indicator now.

Any meet veris?!!

As a woman looking for woman, I always ask for some sort of video call or voice note exchange just to prove it’s a woman.

The profile was only 2 days old when we initially started talking and unverified, so maybe I have been a little naive

Yeah I think it's this, probably a little naive.

Either a fake profile, possibly a man.

She was very new, just testing the water and got cold feet.

She's married and just enjoys the online flirting/banter and decided it got that one step too far and had no real intentions to actually take it further, so blocking was the easy way out.

She or he enjoys stringing people along for their own kicks.

Or something else.

It happens op, you may say something that seems insignificant, but to others it can be a huge red flag and thats the end of it.

I made a tongue in cheek comment once to a longer term fwb and it really killed the mood.

We all have different boundaries and opinions of red flags, its very difficult to navigate.
