Always have respect for truckers, seems easy just driving up and down the motorway, but when you see the tight spots that they have to drive or reverse into at the point of delivery, especially when trying to do it during the school run time, that's a different ballgame altogether. Total respect from me.

You guys all race about at 60mph in your V8’s too don’t you?

I’ve got an old 530hp XF, pulling fridges mostly, not long had tacho calibrated before new rubber on the drive axle, sits comfortably at 57-58ish now 😇, only really get overtaken by V8 Scannys on Irish plates haha..

I only live 20mins from the yard, so luckily I’m home every night, I’ve no want/need/desire to live in the truck, I’ve done 3-4 sporadic nights out in the past three years, that’s enough for me haha..

I used to be a logistics and warehousing manager and spent many an hour unloading wagons and yapping. Now I'm on the road a lot and share the frustrations of professional drivers at the cretins in our midst.

My old man was a driver back in the early 70's through to early nineties, so always had an appreciation. Sadly Chels never got to enjoy some time in a cab, though she was in a works van a while back...

Show us some love ? They don’t when I’m reversing a big artic into a yard and some twat decides to drive behind a moving vehicle cos they can’t wait 48 seconds for me to get out of way. Pedestrians can be arses with it too walking at back while I’m reversing toward them.

On the whole tho I think the job is respected, you get the comments of “ ya just sat on ya arse, you fuckers get in the way “ meanwhile they’ve just ordered £200 of Amazon and think it got there by carrier pigeon!

Wouldn’t mind some fun in my lorry one day !
