Sick of A.I. facepics?

Am I the only one who is sick of obvious A.I. enhanced or outright creations on profiles?

I can understand a little uplifts but these are outright catfish pics.

Yea hate it. Not just on here but everywhere. Really dont think killing the world is worth these ridiculous pics.

The worst is AI voice over videos and the odd sprinkling of AI videos in along with real videos. I saw a short video compilation of off road vehicles and right in the middle, an obvious AI generated clip.

My absolute pet hate is the art theft, and the use of AI to “recreate” my favourite anime.

The worst part of it all is people will just stop caring and this all becomes just the new normal

Funnily enough I’ve been accused of it before - I favour portrait mode when it comes to photography, and will blur backgrounds or enhance lighting, put a monochrome on etc. if that’s what you mean by AI then yeah I’m guilty

I feel theres a difference between a bit of tweaking and blending to full on overlay

Every time it's used it generates it uses a massive amount of electricity, so much that they reckon by 2030 20% of all electricity used will be from people using a.i. it also uses up massive water amounts because its needed to keep the temp of coolers down. Many if the data centres use fossil fuels and pushing up emissions.
