Somewhere in Norfolk ask :)

So I’ve had a message from someone who just from my boobie and body pics have recognised me, sent me an PM stating my name and where I live and then not telling me how they know me or who they are and even more scary how they know just from body pics that it’s me as my face isn’t shown at all? I’ve blocked them but I’m really worried and it’s frightened me?

He says he knows me from a pub I used to frequent but won’t say how or who he is and I haven’t been naked or slept with anyone from there x

I'm guessing the name and where you live are correct? And I agree, there are a few potentially identifying features on your pics that, if someone knows you quite well, they could guess who you are.

It's creepy, but some people love to play mind games.

It's your choice. If you don't want to be recognised/give someone reasonable idea who you are despite not having face pics on profile, then leave it as it is.

You did right blocking, could the holiday pic have given it away at all. Was your 40th bday on any socials with similar pics?.

Wow hadn’t even thought of that, I don’t have any single blokes who are not very close friends on my socials but that’s a very valid point and I’ve set that to private as not worth the risk !

Changed our location to somewhere in Norfolk rather than where it was so hopefully this will stop this from happening again. The thing is if I saw someone I knew on here I would just stay quiet as we all here for same reason and I wouldn’t dream of making them feel uncomfortable or scared , thanks for the advice x

Some people get off on doing stuff like that. Chances are they wont do anything. so what if they tell others? What are they gonna do? Me and my partner dont care who knows that we are on here, its no one else's business after all. I honestly couldn't care less who knows. I know not everyone is the same as us and it would stress them out if people found out, but what are they going to do if they do? You'll be surprised how little people actually care when they find out about stuff like that.

If some of your photos were taken in your house and I'd been there I'd know who you were.

Plausible deniability is the thing. If anyone questions you simply say someone stole a memory stick you had some private photos on and set up a profile.

Apart from my child and beasts friends who are also colleagues ( happily married ) no one has been at this place at all so that one is impossible, but yeah if anyone asks I will deny it; we shouldn’t have to be ashamed as this lifestyle isn’t hurting anyone. We personally would never do what the man did and intimidate but everyone’s different x

Me neither but up until just now where we have taken photos down we did have photos that had his beard in or my hair and on the lovely forum lovely’s advice we have set these to private, it’s got to have been that x

We recently had someone say they recognised us but we just ignored it and nothing more was said or happened...

We also recognised our neighbours from the background on their public pics, though we would never tell anyone or confront them.

It's always a gamble on here

Ok so the message has freaked you out a but has this person done anything more that showed bad etiquette in naming you so directly.

Have they threaten to out you for being on here or something?

I’m not trying to play down what they’ve done which was a total dick move, just trying to calm you down.

You’ve blocked him, take a couple of days to see if anything happens before making any changes.

I would make the mods aware of this if they’re not already.
