Where is best for a social ?

Somewhere in Norfolk ask :)

We prefer socials in public places like a bar or coffee shop (normally a pub or bar as normally evenings ) to meet a couple for the first time to see if there is chemistry and this seems to be the norm.

Recently we have been asked round someone’s house for a social and we were not sure as they could be anyone and also it’s awkward to make our excuses if they are not for us and on the flip side it would be awkward for them having us in their personal space if we not for them ?

What are peoples thoughts on this ?

Generally a pub, then back to ours/theirs if all mutually inclined ☺️

Definitely in a public place unless you've met before and are pretty certain about them.

In public is always best for the reasons you have said.

We’ve only done a first meet in a house (ours) once and it went from social to play in about twenty minutes, so clearly we all decided very quickly we would get on. But there had been a lot of conversation before that point, and the woman concerned trusted us enough to meet us at our home. Also the meet at our place was her suggestion as she was meeting us later on, so we all took a chance really. And it was amazing!

social in public places seems obvious; makes everyone safe, you have to control your flirting but nobody else around you knows you are meeting with a view of something else, so thats quite exciting

Yeah that is fun and also talking about what you like and don’t like and having to be very discreet, we once were having a naughty chat with a couple and we hadn’t realised there were a couple sitting in the booth behind us. They smiled though
