Hotel costs

It astonishes me that when two people both can't accom so the answer is a hotel most of the time the woman/couple expects the man to pay for the room like it's the least he can do as he should be grateful to be getting a meet, grrr

I would absolutely never expect the guy/couple I am meeting to fork out for the entire cost of a hotel. I will always go 50/50. Although there have been a couple of times when the other half of the meet has insisted they pay as I was the one who travelled at their invite. But that was the only exception.

Well that's refreshing to hear, indeed though a rarity believe me in my previous experience. In fact I messaged a woman today who lived in Cardiff and she is very much interested in meeting up. I suggested we arrange a meet and for the first meet I don't mind travelling up to her snd booking a room. She is def up for that and even said if it goes well making it a regular thing time allowing of course. I agreed but said au take it we'd go halves in the future if that was the case and she just laughed!

Well to be honest _ixma, I find that quite rude of her. Does she think you're made of money? I have even arranged to meet someone who was quite a distance away so we agreed to meet at a hotel half way so it was an easy train ride for both of us and just went halvies in the hotel. While it is understandable that some people can't travel far due to family commitments or something, the effort must go both ways.

I'm bringing myself to play with your wife/partner otherwise you wouldn't be meeting me so by your remark your one of those arrogant couples who thinks as a single guy we should be oh so grateful to be playing with a woman we have to pay for the pleasure. Give me a break!

I don't travel and use hotels normally but if I did I'd expect to pay 50/50. I certainly wouldn't expect the man to pay the whole cost. Having said that, on the rare occasion it has happened, I did most of the travelling and paid for the hotel, but I was staying the night and he wasn't!

The reason I won't do hotel meets is because I would want to pay half and never let a man pay fully and as I haven't a lot of spare cash I'd rather just not do hotels .

I always go 50 50 !!!

It's as much for the women to have a lot of fun as the men, so why not share the cost !! If they don't want to pay their half, they don't meet me ! Simples !!!

I would never, ever pay a penny towards a hotel and if I met in a hotel I would slum it in the Marriott Park Lane and I'd expect a cab to take me there.

I have on my profile I don't meet in hotels: EVER! I also add belt to braces by saying I accommodate only those that accommodate also.

Almost on a daily basis I'm contacted by someone asking for a hotel meet. Funny how they disappear when I list my demands.

Op, you're here for your hedonistic pleasure. If you expect playmates to go 50/50 you're quite within your right to say so. Personally, I think squabbling over a £50 Travelodge room before you've even met tacky and off putting but everyone knows where they stand...I guess.

If I were to do a hotel meet, it would most definitely be 50/50... Especially if pre-arranged!

But I'm yet to do so, I usally accomodate!

Many years ago when i did hotel meets i never ever paid half or indeed anything towards the cost.

Some of the guys i met were traveling with their work and werent paying for their hotels either but i wasnt able to afford to pay for the hotel due to earning very little money so if they wanted to meet me they had to pay for the hotel, thir choice, i wasnt forcing them

Depends on the hotel meet really. If the OP is visiting my area for, say, a concert and already had the room booked, then expected me to pop round for après-concert fun, then no, I would not expect to pay for that.

If we had been chatting and mutually agreed the hotel, then I would expect to share the costs.

Personally I wouldn't put slumming it and Marriott in the same sentence or maybe I'm biased since I work for that particular chain, lol
