How do people prefer the first interaction to take place?

"How do people prefer the first interaction to take place?"

I’d be absolutely amazed if anyone say winks.

Message, 100%.

Wink system feels broken. The amount of times we've winked back, no response. We send a message off a wink, no response!

So yeah, state your intentions early doors and don't leave us unread for two weeks

Winks are better than nothing I suppose, but a (good) message is much more likely to get the ball rolling

I like winks but some people seem to take offence to them for some reason. Its a quick and convenient way of saying "hi, I like you, wink back if you like us too". I take time to read a profile carefully and compose a thoughtful message tailored to them only to not even get a simple "no thanks". When people say things on their profile like "make the effort with your message and I'll reply" and then not reply when I do, it can be very discouraging. So winks are very handy and can save a lot of time when used correctly I feel.

This, exactly this, it’s a quick intro, I am not into copy and paste messages so I am going to put some effort in I at least want to have an idea if the person/s are interested at least in some way

It’s not perfect but it works if people want it to

I prefer a wink to a message that just says

‘Hey.’

We send winks, don't feel comfortable sending unsolicited messages. Maybe that's where we're going wrong

I do it for exactly the same reason..I just don't want to waste anyone's time reading my message if they're not interested
