If I were to offer to do some boudoir-style photography for women or couples…. Would anyone be potentially interested?

Baring in mind…

- I’ve never done it before, except from with MrsDD

- I was a full time professional photographer until recently

- But my work has been mostly always sports and editorial portraits

- I’m 100% sane, easy going and normal(ish)

Does this sound remotely interesting to anyone?

We would suggest doing some more of Mrsdd first and putting them up on your profile so people can see your real.

There have historically been loads of men chancing their arm with these offers and while your first photo of Mrsdd is awesome its just the one image.

We used to do a lot of photography and had friends who were photographers who were swingers. Once people know your real you will likely be inundated with people offering and requesting.

Have a look at our older photos that are in black and white. We would love to do that again!

As for picking someone on fab to do it, that’s a tricky one. As some one else said, there are a lot of people offering this service and it’s clear they are chancing their arm. How would you make sure you’re not seen in the same light?

Yeah we’ve got that booked in for this weekends hotel stay. More pics incoming!

I didn’t realise the history to men offering photos, but it makes sense now.

If it’s any reassurance, I’ve just sent my old wedding work to a couple…. who pretty much started looking at hotels as a location to shoot straight away

Cheers, we would still do the photography ourselves as some of that stuff is ours (love long exposure neon stuff!) but we just dont have the time to persue it as a hobby...

That’s a really good point.

To be honest. The majority of photos I see on here taken by photographers are really nice amateur shots, or from older, old-skool professionals…. And there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that

But whne I get my creative juices flowing with MrsDD I’m sure I won’t be seen in the same light

We once held a private party with some swinger friends of ours who were photographers, both the male of the couple and Duke were doing a lot of the neon stuff at the time. Got talking and then other people there showed an interest. We ended up doing it as an ad hoc ice breaker... before you know it there was neon paint everywhere and we had an orgy! The photos came out really well and gave everyone a bit of a keepsake as well!

Ha, brilliant.

To be honest, I’m just trying to find something for me in this lifestyle. I still love shooting after giving it up full time, i occasionally still do weddings and some event work. I love the creative/sexy/erotic side and the fact I’m doing it for a couple who would love them is enough for me!

I have done some of this in the past, both couples for fun and also for models starting up on that well known fans website. I'm not a professional by any means, just a very keen amateur.

What I have found is that it's good to at least offer to hand over the memory card at the end of the shoot, that way the client has full control over the images, they need not worry about them being shared without their consent. SD cards are cheap enough, so it's worth at least offering. This means shooting in jpeg rather than RAW and not relying on any manipulations in post. Of course if they are happy for you to take the images away and edit, then fine, but I think it builds trust if you at least offer.

Yeah I understand that.

I don’t mind handing over an SD card, but I’m also hoping to build a bit of a portfolio of boudoir shots to show people what I can do.

Editing is also an important part in proper boudoir photography for me, and I’d like the think I’d be trusted enough by anyone I shoot with to not share photos they weren’t comfortable with.

…… That's where the professional bit comes in I guess

I think it takes time to build up trust for allow someone to take pics, especially boudoir type pics.

Keep building your pics on here (the ones you have up are fantastic) and I’m sure you’ll have enquiries soon.

There have been far too many guys saying they are photographers and then have awful pics on their profile and them saying they can’t take good pics of themselves 😱 maybe not, but you’d expect a photographer to still be able to show how good they were from the lighting and editing…

We started doing our own and mentioned it to a trusted friend who had experience in boudoir photography. He then shot some for us and theres no doubt the artistic eye really pays off
