Women are realistic and don't always expect a super model either. I've always found it bemusing that men think we do.

Women might appear more fussy but we need to be a gazillion times more wary of who we're meeting, society has told us since the year for that if we don't 'save ourselves' for the right person we're evil and the risks of pregnancy weigh more heavily on younger women than men. Also a lot of men will call women fussy if they don't choose them.

I'm sure some men have a 'wider taste level' but a lot of guys have very specific tastes too.

I wouldn’t say it’s standards. It’s about what you’re looking for.

If you just want to fuck then does that mean you don’t have standards? I would t say so.

If you’re looking for a specific thing, then that gets blurred into ‘standards’

Eg for me, I’m only interested in married men, then there has to be an attraction.

For my husband, he has a very specific type and anything else he’s not interested in ( and sometimes blows my mind he turns down certain ladies as I think they are stunning ).

Couldn't disagree more. Some men might be so thirsty that they will be grateful for any attention but I've met 60-70 women on here over 10 years and had sex with 6 of them because I refuse to settle for whatever I can get. I honestly can't think of anything worse or sadder than settling.

Any woman on fab who wants to meet me or would like to have sex with me is going to have to work for it and I refuse to have sex with any woman who isn't at least as fussy as I am.

What do we even mean by standards ?

I sense that men are more likely to fuck someone they wouldn't date. Or be seen out on a coffee with.

But is that lower standards or just a bugger gap between sex and life.

Or perhaps more they have more shame / lower strength of character. In the same way a lot have their gay/trans/CD kink that isn't allowed outside of fab.

J is incredibly particular, and thus doesn't often feel attracted to women we meet. It can make it more difficult to find a couple swap.

I'm more open to seeing attraction in many different ways so more often want to play with people we meet.

Fortunately, J loves sharing me with multiple people (M & F,) so a lot of fun is still to be had.

It's clear from the general feedback you read in the forums, that a LOT of men work on the scattergun principle - i.e. bombarding the girls and couples here (often without even reading what the profile says), hoping someone will simply give them a quick shag.

As others have said, girls and couples, with that amount of attention, are then spoilt for choice (albeit most of it unwanted no doubt) and can be ultra picky.

Personally, I'll read a profile and if it's clear it's a non-starter (either for me or the poster), I simply block it (so I don't return due to poor memory!), looking like I'm interested (when I'm not) in the process. I'll also only very occasionally write (although I always respond to anyone that contacts me).

I'm in no hurry and I want a specific kind of scenario; for me it's more about finding a couple who 'get' where I'm at, are intelligent, don't take life too seriously and want a dependable third. While looks are obviously part of this equation (on both sides), getting on (mentally) matters way more. Personally I don't think I'm uber picky - more 'focussed' on the end goal.

I think more women need a connection for sex,a lot of men can just fuck because they want to fuck...and I know some women do also just like some men need a connection.

But in a whole I think more women need to build a connection and feel comfortable so are probably a bit more fussy.

Women have the additional factor of greater worry about their personal safety, which is why they seek a connection - it's about trust and feeling safe meeting men.

So even with the best looking guy in the site, if the connection/trust doesn't transpire, women will still say no to a meet.

I'm finding all the replies interesting. Obviously there are a vast number of reasons why we are on here. But in the main. It seems we have to like someone and 'connect' in some way. Be it humour or a way of chatting 🤷. Being interesting is a turn on for me but from my experience getting to know people other than the sex is often unpopular. Desperate men don't help my cause but being obsessed with sex and exposing their cocks as though it's going to turn people on.
