Had quite a few potential meets breakdown recently because the other party refused to show there face before meeting.

Is it an unreasonable request?

It's not unreasonable to ask for one but it's also not unreasonable for them to refuse.

Not everyone is comfortable sharing face pics here for all sorts of reasons and in 10 years here I've yet to ask for one.

I don't share with anyone unless we have already agreed to meet or the conversation has convinced me that they can be trusted.

I have met lots of people over the years without sharing a pic because a 2d image on a screen tells me absolutely nothing and I would never base attraction on that alone.

I think for us Tgirls, it's essential we have face pics in public, as there is such a huge variety between those who don't do make up and have a beard and those who look ultra fem and it's unfair not to let the other person see

Not at all, face is the most important feature for alot of people when it comes to physical attraction. Blind meets are not fun, maybe a social meet first instead would be a good alternative

Everyone has the right to ask and people have the right to refuse. It’s going to dramatically reduce their chances I would have thought - I certainly wouldn’t meet without sharing face photos at some point and sooner rather than later.

If we agreed to meet, then it's fair enough they would want to exchange face pics. At least so we can recognise each other (as long as the photos are recent, not when they were 20 years younger and 10 stone lighter...). If we're just chatting, then no, I don't feel comfortable sending my face photo. Also, if someone messaged me about the club event I'm going to that they are planning/hoping to be at, I am not going to send my face pic to them, as I'm normally not that bothered to be recognised in the club (I'm also not that difficult to be recognised, with a bit of effort).

I don't think it's unreasonable at all. Maybe a better way of doing it would be to ask them if they was happy to share face pics, and tell them that If they agree, that you'll send them one over first.

I wouldn't send my pic to them if they replied with a no.

I'm not meeting anyone without a face pic and I want to talk (at least on the phone) too.

That said, I certainly think that profiles that insist on a face pic on first contact (and particularly those who have zero photos on their profile at all! (even in a private section) are somewhat taking the piss.

For me, I like to chat a bit and see how it goes first, in order to establish how likely it's gonna turn into a meet and simply to see if we seem to get along.

This is one of those areas though, that given the sheer numbers of guys on here, people often seem to use it as a screening mechanism (no pic on contact, instant delete).

That's yet another example of unrealistic expectations IMHO and how this site encourages (and generates) poor behaviour.

Cam chat non negotiable. Even then we’d probably want to meet at a social rather than just invite someone over.

If to shy to show face then probably aren’t that confident to be rolling with us anyway. Don’t see why would want sex with someone I haven’t seen properly either as mainly attracted to peoples faces than their bodies.
