I recently changed my status from bi-curious to bisexual as technically I’m no longer curious and have probably had enough meets with guys now to know that I like it. If you can have sex with either sex & not feel guilty or wrong about yourself then you are bisexual. It’s all about you & how you feel about yourself. I keep hearing this but continue to make the case that labels are very useful.

I think it really comes down to how you view yourself and agree with the challenges of labels.

For me for example, bi tends to imply too much of an equal appreciation, where’s that’s not how I feel. I’m very attracted to women of all (ok most) shapes and sizes etc, I want to be close to them sexually, but in real, non fab life I’d like to be cuddled up to them on a sofa, be intimate with beyond sex. I occasionally find a man’s body and cock hot but I’m not attracted in the same way and I don’t want to spoon all night or get cosy. An interesting question, for me curious is either before you have tried or maybe only a few encounters and are not sure if you really like it. Once you admit to yourself you like it there is no curiosity.

The labels are useful in that they give people a broad idea of what someone is open too, however we are all different and as such there are things that some straight people will do that others won't.

When it comes to same sex it gets even more complicated, obviously I can only speak from a guys point of view but gay or bi you will have some that are top/bottom or vers, or maybe oral only.

We do get hung up on labels and i agree that we should be more relaxed about it, however we should also be honest with ourselves and also be clear with others what we like or are open too.

For my part im comfortable seeing myself as bi but that won't tell you everything about me, it's just a starting point.
