I’ve found last few months starting off a conversation with hey how are you does get any replies and even starting with a compliment doesn’t get anywhere , where am I going wrong?

I read a profile before I even open a message. If there isn’t anything on it that’s an immediate yes… I just delete the message

Compliments, questions or responding to a status update are all good. If we unblock single males we'll get at least 30 messages a day saying 'hi how are you?'. No reply is a reply in it's own way, even though it's frustrating. As a single guy messaging on here it's like playing the lottery; most of the time you'll get nothing, but occasionally you'll get a win.

I saw a profile here where she said she was a reviewer of sex toys, so I messaged her saying I'm writing a murder mystery novel and need her help. I asked her which type of butt plug could realistically be used as a murder weapon, and that my book deal depended on her timely response.

Can you imagine how often we get asked how we are? And in all honesty compliments rarely leave any way to reply except "thank you".

Maybe try saying a few words about you, what particular bits of their profile you think you match, and asking a question that can start a conversation?

Personally regardless of the message is an essay and well constructed or "hey how are you" I'll look at the profile, if I like what I see I'll reply if I don't I won't.

I don't understand the huge need to send crazy messages to a stranger we know nothing about - that's the whole point in messaging to find out more.

As long as it's not text speak or something minging cock I'll reply if the profile matches what we are looking for and I can guage some attraction.

The art of conversation, flirting, innuendo and teasing is dead i think.

You read a profile, something maybe catches your eye, the profile header warrants a response, thats why they have put it there.

You respond not with a hey how are you or a boring or copied mesaage but with something individual and about what you have read or seen in a few pics and the response 97% of the time is delete, read, no reply or reply with one or two words, yet there profile insists you put effort in and more than one sentence, but the same is not reciprocated.

I love to look, read, see and then start a conversation but seems others dont want that, yet again their profiles are a list of wants and demands.

I thought this place was suppose to be a laugh, fun and a break from normal everyday boring life.

That has been sucked out of this site over the last few years I think.

I do get single ladies and probably couples get shed loads of mesaages but its even funnier when those same profiles wanting something go on and slate and slag off say men or blah blah blah and they haven't even read a message that was exactly what they asked for? Strange that, but all us blokes are put in the same category usually. Its a shame.

Conversation, you should try it sometimes, as you might just be surprised at the result.
