" Yes, a professional cleaner is just one that gets paid for their cleaning. The word professional gets used too liberally these days. I think most mean that they actually have a job. ps. Nice new profile pic by the way.

"I think I will just have to keep to Amateur So anyone looking for an Amateur can get in touch with a nice email We are al amateurs on here due to the fact that a professional would want paying for their services which is strictly forbidden on this site.

"Hi, I'm just curious, when I come across profiles that say; We are a professional couple, what exactly do you mean by that? Just wondering.... Thanks" For us it means we take our careers seriously and inadvertently means we won't be able to meet at the drop of a hat. I think it also does a reasonable job of filtering out some of the "fancy a shag" messages which do get sent.

"It means if you’re upset by such a simple statement (that many people do understand) then you wouldn’t be right for us " It wasn't upsetting, just wondering what it meant, nothing more, i understand and respect it.

"It means if you’re upset by such a simple statement (that many people do understand) then you wouldn’t be right for us It wasn't upsetting, just wondering what it meant, nothing more, i understand and respect it." It simply means that they have had certain life experiences on their way to their professional qualifications and would like to meet (though not exclusively) people with shared experiences. People are soon ready to wear their inverted snobbery on their sleeve, though those same people would insist they should be treated by professional doctors, dentists, or surgeons, or helped by professional lawyers etc

"I won't meet 'professional' no matter the offer or how good they looked. Just sounds like snobs. My job is a profession which I've taken a few years to learn. I'll not consider myself professional. These people just like to look down on anyone they can at every given opportunity" Aren't you the one looking down on people by being so dismissive?

"It used to be related to the level of professional qualification. If you can sign a passport application, you’re a professional. Think Doctor, Lawyer, that sort of stuff In the world of Fab it’s code for ‘we don’t think we’re oiks’" When i was a publican i could sign passport photos. Did i once qualify for proffessional status ?

"I've never cared what someone does for work. Job doesn't actually always equal intelligence, here for me common sense, emotional literacy and having a social filter are far more important than a job. " The most boring conversation starter I can be asked is “how is business?/how is work?”. It’s also a question I don’t ask others. I couldn’t give a toss what you have done to be paid. I’m more interested in what you have done in the hours that you aren’t in your job.
