What do you look for in a first message? Now, I'm getting mixed signals on this topic from people throughout the time I've been on here. I always thought it was nice to put a lot of effort and detail into my first message, which is pretty much what I've always done. I write each message individually, yet have had messages back before, saying that it was a copy and paste message, which it wasn't. I've recently had a conversation with someone who said that if they get a message that's more than a few lines, then alarm bells start ringing and they think it is a copied message.

What do you look for in a first message? x

We know straight away from a message whether our profile has been read or not.

We will ALWAYS reply to those who have taken the time to do so and always ignore / delete those that havent.

From there we will chat depending of course on how the conversation goes.

Hate things like "what are ye into" "what ye like' etc.

One liners are a no no aswel.

And dont immediately jump to sex talk.

As a couple definitely for us to both be addressed not just me and for the sender to have actually read the profile and therefore tailor their message as per what they have read.

Never fancy a fuck, want to smash your back doors in type message

We like messages which address the both of us which are polite, interesting & humorous.

Not interested in one liners or text speak.

If your message makes us laugh your on the right track
