Is being polite hot?

I’m super polite, also try to use proper sentences and actually read profiles. To provide a good respectful opening message and always attach a face picture.

Is there something I’m missing when sending a message?

I find it a mixed bag on here ! I'm polite, respectful. But all to often, I draw a blank when messaging, so not sure really !

I don't know what your messaging but being polite is always the way forward. It can be hard as an single on here, it can take time.

I'd say it's necessary but not sufficient.

Failing to be polite is a no, but being polite isn't a yes.

I'm not saying you're doing this, but sometimes boasting about politeness is a turn off. It's almost akin to "I am better than all these other men, I wipe my arse without being asked". Ok, that makes you vaguely acceptable, not extraordinary.

("Wiping own arse" is an exaggeration to illustrate the general point)

Manners maketh the man..

You've gotta keep plugging away..

Take the attitude when you message you'll not get a reply..then its a surprise when you do..

On occasion and it can work..go for the jugular..forget the politeness ..its timing ..

Just keep plugging away

Manners maketh man unless it's inconvenient?

Fascinating.

No. Well, not necessarily. Being polite is a default attribute. You could be polite to a child or an octogenarian, but you wouldn't be doing it to exude any form of 'hotness', but simply for civility, courtesy and manners.

The same would apply if you're messaging people on here, unless the profile explicitly dictates "speak to me like you wish to degrade me or ruin me".

"Manners maketh the man.."

They also maketh the (sic) woman. I interpreted this thread as gender agnostic.

I always roll my eyes when I see the expression. It's in the vein of arse wiping to me.

I respond only to polite, respectful men. It doesn't mean someone is fully compatible but it's the minimum to expect

Be polite because you are not because you expect something in return.

It depends how polite. It’s a balancing act. It’s been proven that people will be more drawn to you the more succinct and direct you are.

Over politeness can sometimes show as weakness

Nothing I've said changes with your reply.

Necessary, not sufficient, not remarkable.

I short, yes. If someone sends you messages with broken English (not talking about those where English isn't their first language) it kinda puts you on the back foot straight away.

We are not only here for the physical stuff. I'd like somewhat of intelligent conversations before or after.

I see no indication of him communicating in broken English.

Politeness is default for me. I couldn't be anything different. Does it work on here? Hmm...not sure 🤓🥷

Im the same kind of man as the OP. Always polite and chatty after initial shyness. Sadly the only meet I got on here I travelled 4 hours round trip for a no show and a block. Being nice is obviously not working. Mind you single men are not on the majority of swingers shopping lista. But one remains forever hopeful.

Being polite shouldnt be an option or a choice.

People should just be polite.

Being polite should be a given. Shows a level of human decency. That first message is the first impression you’re giving someone. Use it wisely
