Afternoon folks,

I (Ben) am on holiday in Gran Canaria so obviously make a beeline for the swinger/ nudist beach at Maspalomas

It's great sitting around naked chatting to people on the sunbeds, in the sea etc but I'm not sure on the etiquette for approaching couples.

Towards the back of the beach (in plain view) a couple were lying naked and the guy was openly fondling his partner.

I stood watching from a respectful distance and he was making eye contact & smiled in response to a thumbs up but as soon as I sauntered over (to his side, ie not making a beeline for her) and said a polite hello he was really agitated and waving me away

I'm not really used to outdoor public interaction as most of our play time is in a club where approaching works very differently so really looking for advice so I don't get seen as one of the annoying pests (or is it too late?

)

I know absolutely zero about the subject, but if I was in your situation, I wouldn't approach anyone unless they were beckoning to me... A smile can just mean politeness.

Yeh they may well just be exhibitionists and like to be watched - I’d stay at a distance and watch - they will wave you over if that’s what they want

Yeh, fair enough, I was just conscious of being seen as a lurking letch.

I only approached to ask if they were ok with me watching

Maybe next time I'll just point down and then give thumbs up.

And as you say, wait to be beckoned over
