Friend requests and pics

I get asked (usually just by men) via DM at least once a day if I can add someone so they can see my friends only pics, or if i can send them my pictures, or get random friend requests from people who haven’t even said two words to me.

I keep my friends on here to people I have actually met with in person therefore my friend’s only pics are exactly that just for friends. I am curious about if others only actually add those they have met in person. Because apparently I’ve been told I shouldn’t just add people I know?

Curious to see what others think.

I think you should do as you please.

I know of no other area of life where you can call someone a friend without at least one personal interaction either by message or face to face

Your profile your rules, you inky show what you want people to see. If that offends them unlucky.

I generally wouldn’t just add someone if haven’t met unless we had been speaking for a while. Definitely wouldn’t be accepting anyone that you’ve never spoken to, think it’s only an acceptable practice if there’s no public photos and you want to take the conversation further.

As a guy, I’ve had a few invites without a message first. I think it’s rude. I’d never friend request without messaging first. Unless their status says to add. Maybe I’m in the minority but I don’t expect face pics immediately. It would be nice but unless there is a plan to meet, why would anyone send a face pic. I like to keep this side of my life private so there’s no way I’d accept a friends request without chatting first.

We tend to keep ours to people we've met or are totally convinced they're real and want to meet

I’m open to friend requests as the images I have are no faces.

If I’m comfortable with someone, I’ll send face pics over dm but I don’t see friend requests a secretive thing

I am the same, friends are people I've met, or I'm going to meet, or someone I have built a rapport with, not the randoms who haven't been bothered to send a message.

See I’d understand if they asked for a face pic and I didn’t have one on my public album (but I do).

Totally up to you as a person or couple! We tend to keep ours pretty limited. Either people we like or intend to meet but we have a limited number because we don't want it being a huge porn Facebook.

But can see why others would have large lists and be fine with it too.

As with anything, do what you're comfortable and happy with. Anyone who isn't on board with that isn't for you then anyway!

I'm the same OP. My friends pics are only face pics, so random friend requests hoping to see more revealing pics are on a hiding to nothing and don't get accepted. Generally it's only people I have already met, or who I've been talking to for a long time that gets to see my friends pictures.

Generally these requests come from people who want something for nothing. Gives you a pretty good steer as to if you would actually be friends with them.

Ultimately, people send random friend requests to either see peoples hidden photos, which makes sense, but is a bit ham fisted and rude, Or hope that it will be accepted and give the a foot in to get to know people.... Either way, it's a backward way of doing things, and more likely to make people think you're a creep.

Im guilty of starting 'Friends threads', but it in hope that it sparks a friendship, even a platonic one.

Not just for their pics.

We've had some messages off the back of posting in certain threads where the people sending the messages clearly didn't actually read our message. Just saw the thread title, saw us post and put 2 and 2 together to get 9.

Reading is hard apparently.

I'm the same as you op

Only add those I've met of spoken o at length. My list is v short and only 5 on it, including my other half.

It's your profile and your choice, I block those who repeatedly send friend invites without even saying hi first.

I would tend to ask politely after a reasonable amount of online engagement/banter, certainly never off the cuff. A polite no is always an acceptable response.

I only add people I have gotten to know over some time and have built up a sort of chat and banter relationship or if plan to meet them at some point, and of course friends I've actually met. I don't keep face pics in there and don't tend to send them on here either, send them via telegram. I get random friend requests daily and most of them are from guys who don't have a friends galery themselves, just want something for nothing 😂😂

You definitely have enough on your profile (mind melted) I wouldn't mind seeing more but its 100% enough on there to open a conversation

Yeah think that’s what people have done here.

Reading seems to be very hard for people nowadays, it actually makes me really worried sometimes.

We are the same as you OP, we only accept friend requests from people we have actually met, that way we know everyone on our friends list is genuine.

I get peed off when guys send a friend request without sending a message, they get the message when we message them asking why they have sent a request and do we know them

You can see most of me on my profile and the only thing in my friends pics are face pics.... only a very select few women have seen my face or been added for that reason.
