I have just been very nastily told to grow some by a couple, think it was the woman because I have straight on my profile, I am a real bisexual man and am tired of curious guys being either not committed or not bisexual at all, hence I changed to straight, I do like women too, ffs there was no need for such nastiness, rant over, I give up

There’s no need for abuse.

But, I can see where they’re coming from. If someone contacted us with straight on their profile we wouldn’t respond, no matter the reasons for why and no matter how much they claim to be bi in messages

There are many men who lie about being bisexual or bicurious just to shag someone else's wife. I know you aren't but there is a lot of it about and distrust is easy to build with so many timewasters.

There's also homophobia or biphobia which means men often live for many years hiding their true sexual orientation. It's sad and it's wrong.

Exactly this, your comment OP doesn’t really make sense as you are saying you are tired of men doing that so you then do it yourself!!!

Honesty is always going to be key. The more your profile reflects you in an honest way the better it is for you. Plus why let what others do change the way you present yourself.

Personally I don’t like profiles that say straight and then claim to be bi as to me if someone can’t be honest with themselves it doesn’t bode well as I like people that are honest and embrace what they like and are looking for.

We don't converse with straight profiles. The number of straight men sho say they're really bi as a hope to meet and just be with Bunny is exhausting. So we just don't entertain it.

Don’t take it too personally but you do have to appreciate what it’s like for couples that are absolutely bombarded with 1000s of messages and if you look at it from their point of view it does at times get extremely frustrating. There is no need to be rude but don’t dwell on it. Take on board the comments. Change your profile to be honest (don’t worry what anyone else does) and look for like minded people. Let’s face it if your profile had said bi then you wouldn’t have received the backlash you did so it’s worth taking the advice of people on here isn’t it.

But from a couples point of view it happens so much. We get so many messages from guys saying they are bi but it says straight on their profile. Unfortunately, this is a red flag for us as some guys, not all will say anything just to get a foot in the door.
