A dad who wore a full gorilla costume for his daughter on her last day of term was scalded for his actions as the school said it was a "serious safeguarding concern"

Really?

Bloody hell, can't people do anything these days without it being wrong!!

When our eldest had his last day of term two parents showed up in those blow up dinosaur suits.

Everyone had a great laugh so this school has a very very uptight head.

And that's exactly how it should be, what's wrong with people at the minute?

Why was he scolded, what was he doing other than walking about in a gorilla suit?

I was so trying not to be the “English language police”. Thanks for the correct vowel use

I just read an article on it and I can see how the school would want to be able to identify anyone on the premises given recent events.

I chuckled a bit at his occupation. 'self employed horse dentist'.

I initially thought he had overheated in the suit.....

Having read the story, its a bit much to have a go at him but he is coming off as a bit of a knob.

I can see both sides of this. The school needs to keep kids safe. Someone on the premises who can't be identified *is* a risk.

He could have avoided this by talking to the school first.

If it was a Ferengi wearing it, he's been told to leave before...
